I Am a Nobody

I Am a Nobody

By Winfred Sledge

I am a Nobody,

Trapped in the darkness,

Hidden from the world in everlasting sadness,

I walk with a binding hate,

So I guess it's my fate,

To fade into everlasting darkness,

Never to be seen,

Watched only by a few,

I thought the Organization would help me,

But man I was wrong,

With my goal to be strong,

Used and abused like a tool,

So I turned against them,

And fought my way out of,

The World That Never Was,

I betrayed my closets friend,

And drove myself to the edge,

And by doing so I lost most of my memory,

I wound up in twilight town,

And their I found,

That everyone had smiles on their faces,

It was the first time I was happy,

But I could not shake off the feeling,

That someone was watching me,

And that someday my happiness,

My reason to live,

The one I was fighting for,

My purpose,

It would cease to exist,

And that day came,

And to my dismay,

I found out I was never meant to be,

But then I found out,

Because of the choices the other me made,

Why I was set free,

I don't know why he made that choice,

I guess it was out of desperation,

But I guess I will fade away again,

And never see another Summer Vacation.
