A/N Okay...so, I decided to write a story about Cecilia and how her life will go. This will include a bit of Rune factory 1 and 2. I Hope you guys like it! It's my first...so can you please review and tell me how you like it? I know there are probably some grammar mistakes...don't worry, you don't need to point it out...

Prologue: Russell & Cecilia

Russell sat at his desk looking through a few papers and sighing every so often from boredom

"What're you doing?" a little girls voice asked

He looked past his glasses and stared at his adopted elf child. He smiled. "I'm not doing anything special, how about you, Cecilia?"

She beamed up with excitement at his question and started swaying her arms around. "I was with Nicholas this morning and we played a bit and then I came home to see you!"

"That's very…" He took a book on his desk and got up to put it back in the shelves

"So…what will we do tomorrow?" she asked sitting in his chair

He looked at her and smiled. She was so cute. Russell walked over to her and kneeled down and patted the little girls head. "What do you want to do tomorrow?"

Cecilia looked at him and had a wide smile on her face. "Can we go for a walk…together? We haven't done that in a while!"

He nodded his head and walked away to a shelf. Without him knowing, Cecilia jumped up from his chair and ran in back of him, hugging him tightly.

"I love you daddy!" She turned and ran out the door

Russell turned around and sighed, remembering what she had just said. 'I love you daddy' …Daddy? Hadn't he told her that he wasn't her real father? Russell sat in his chair and opened a book that was on his desk.

She soon wouldn't be a small girl anymore… He shook his head and concentrated on the book.

He stared out the window and saw the small elf with her friend; he couldn't help but feel happy. He always wondered if Nicholas and she would one day…marry. They seemed like such a cute couple…but then again, things change over the years don't they?

He didn't notice the two children walk in, until Cecilia came and took Russell's hand.

"Can I stay at Nicholas's place tonight? Just for dinner?" she pleaded with her puppy eyes "Before dinner we were going down by the lake to find interesting stones!"

Russell sighed and nodded. "Sure you can. Go have fun" he laughed when the two of them ran out the door and jumped off like that.

She's is sill a kid…she won't be that way when she's older…Hopefully she will be calmer and not so jumpy, but that's what makes her special…right?

He heard the clock ding. It was almost dark out, so Russell decided to close the library for the night. Walking up the creaky stairs he lit a candle.

Things would be different when she was gone…so very different…How old was she now? About 8 or 9, He laughed at himself. When she was old enough to leave she would probably find someone new…

He made dinner for himself. He was worried about Cecilia so he decided to go and pick her up from Sabrina's, when he got there; she was asleep on the floor next to Nicholas.

Russell picked her up and brought her home. Cecilia lay in her bed, so still and quiet…
