Courtney was sitting inside Playa, working on the school work she was missing. Obviously, everyone here was too busy partying to care about their futures. Everyone except for Heather, who was busy sulking because she lost the million to Ezekiel and a volcano, and Alejandro was in the hospital for the time being. Courtney was alone, and basking in the silence, until a man with black, wind-blown hair walked up.
"What do you want, Chris?" Courtney asked, annoyed. "I'm busy, so if you're going to rub it in that I didn't win-"
"I was just thinking about you," Chris replied.
"Oh yeah? All the lawsuits I won against you?" Courtney teased.
"No. Well, kinda. But we should hang out sometime. You know, as friends, or more than friends." He gave her a shit-eating grin.
"Go away, perv!" she yelled.
He started to walk away. "Just drop by when you feel like it, sweetie!" he called over his shoulder.
A few days later, Courtney layed awake in her room. She didn't know what was keeping her up, but she couldn't fall asleep, so she decided to go get some water. She took the long way back from the kitchen and happened to pass by Chris' room. She hesitated. The light was still on, despite it being three in the morning. Her mind flashed back to the last time they talked. Courtney looked at her gray tanktop and shorts, then shrugged and knocked on the door. I just hope he's not wasted, she thought.
Chris opened the door with an angry "what?!" but his expression softened. "So, finally decided to sleep over, huh?"
"Yeah, yeah, are you going to let me in or what?"
"I don't know. Should I?"
Courtney glared at him.
"Alright, fine."
"Nice PJs."
"Same to you, princess."
"Don't call me that!" she screamed.
Chris flopped down next to where Courtney perched herself on the bed. "And why is that?"
"I... you just... Don't, okay?"
"Hmmm, let me think. Oh, it's because of Duncan, right?"
"Don't pretend you didn't know," she scolded.
"Why did you even like him?" Chris asked.
"I ask the same thing to myself."
"You know, I can be a bad boy."
"Don't get any ideas. I'm still a virgin."
"Are you now? That's, surprising. Wanna change that?"
"Stop it! I'm really starting to regret coming in here now!"
Chris laughed. "Yeah, like you wouldn't sue me if we had sex."
"Just keep your pants on, please."
This made Chris laugh again. "You're cute when you're mad."
Courtney smiled at the compliment, then frowned again. "How many girls have you invited in here?"
"Too many to count."
"What?! That's it, I'm leaving!"
Chris grabbed Courtney before she could get to the door. "I was kidding!"
"Oh," Courtney blushed. She didn't object when Chris pulled her closer and kissed her.
"You're good," Courtney cooed, at a loss for anything else to say.
They spent the rest of the night in Chris' room, talking and kissing and whatnot. "I should get going. I wouldn't want anyone to think I was sleeping with the host just to get further in the game," Courtney said.
"Wait, before you leave!"
Courtney paused, expecting another kiss, but instead, Chris said, "You know what I said earlier, about how no other girls had been in here? Well, I told Lindsay that I was Tyler once. Just thought I should be honest with you."
Courtney scoffed and left without saying good-bye, but it didn't matter. She was totally going back tonight.
Wow, that was really short, sorry. It seems a lot longer on paper because it was a lot of dialogue :/
