"Bye, Troian! See you tomorrow!" Ashley yelled as she headed out the back door after a long day of filming.
"See ya Keegs! Great job today!" Shay shouted as she followed Ashley out the door.
"Yeah, you and Troian work AMAZING together! Almost..TOO amazing." Lucy winked flirtatiously, blew me and Troian air kisses... then was gone as well.
Clocks ticked in the quiet room.
The sound of cars starting, then driving away echoed off the walls.
I dared a glance at Troian. We were the only two left on set, and she had this scowl on her face as she glanced back, locking her eyes on mine in a slightly crazed way.
"Stop looking like that Troian. You can fake crazed looks, but you can't look me in the eye right now and hide what you're feeling on the inside. Us, alone, in this cold practically bare room..a..an..and I still feel some warmth." My voice started to crack, and I felt my cheeks go crimson.
Daring yet another glance at Troian, I see my words finally sinking in. I see that adorable spark she gets in her eyes when she begins to soften right this second, right before my very eyes. I start to smile, but then I sense a change in her demeanor...the spark starts to fade, and before I can see what hit me she frowns bitterly, grabs her purse and keys...and walks out the door. Just like that.
I sit there in silence as I hear her footsteps fade, her car start, and then drive away.
Now, alone, just having myself as company, I have time to think. I realize that for such a fierce look displayed on her exterior, Troian grabbed her purse awfully gently. She walked out that door on practically silent, slow...gentle footsteps. Her car didnt pull away violently. In fact, nothing about her interior actions were as severe as her exterior. Almost as if she were soft enough on the inside to love, but her exterior shell was too hard to break. She left more sad, defeated than angry.
"...You and Troian work AMAZING together! Almost...TOO amazing."
Yeah, we almost...do. And if there's anything acting on this show has opened my eyes too, it's that nothing. NOTHING is just a coincidence.
