Chapter 2: Trainer Basics!
Ethan & Lyra had finally arrived in Cherrygrove City. "Were here" said Ethan. "Huh?" said a nearby man. "Hey, kids." "Ahhh" yelled both of them. "You scared us there." said Ethan. "You two are novice trainers, am I right?" said the old man" "Yes" said both of them. "Then come with me."
They walked up to an orange building with a slightly spinning sign with the same insignia on it. "This is the Pokémon Centre. This is where you heal your Pokémon. This is a favourite spot for trainers. " said the old man. They walked to a blue building with the same insignia on it. "This is the Poké Mart. You buy Poké Balls & Potions here. " said the man. "Thanks for keeping up. Here are new Running Shoes." "Wow, Thanks." Said both of them. "We can reach Mr Pokémon's house in half the time." said Ethan. They walk closer to Route 30, where Mr Pokémon's House is.
Then a bug Pokémon appeared. Ethan sent Cyndaquil out. "Cyndaquil, use Ember." Cyndaquil did as asked and hit the bug with Ember. "Heraacrosss!" yelled the Pokémon. "Uh oh, here comes Horn Attack" yelled Lyra. The wild Heracross hit Cyndaquil with a lot of force. "Oh brother, I'm getting my butt kicked, I'm gonna catch it."
The wild Heracross comes again using Horn Attack. Ethan spots a boulder behind Cyndaquil. "Cyndaquil, dodge." said Ethan. Cyndaquil dodges & the Heracross's horn gets stuck in the rock. "Cyndaquil, Ember." said Ethan. Cyndaquil did as told & hit the Heracross. " Go, Pokeball!" yelled Ethan. The ball hit Heracross & it went into the ball. It glowed three times & then sparkled. "I caught a Heracross!" yelled the boy.
Ethan & Lyra head deeper into Route 30.
