For effect, listen to Joshua Radin's "Winter"

It was a fine afternoon in Gravity Falls. Well, the closest to the definition of "fine" in Gravity Falls weather. The Pines twin were walking side by side, but there was something off that day. Dipper scanned his sister's clothes.

"Mabel, how come you're not all dressed up?" Dipper asked, he himself wearing his black suit

Mabel turned to her brother and showed off her sweater, "I am all dressed up! You see any holes on this sweater?"

"No."

"And check out this design!" She answered, highlighting her pine tree and shooting star combo.

"It looks like a Christmas tree, Mabel," the brother remarked.

"IT'S NOT A Christmas Tree, Dipper, see," Mabel pointed at the shooting star design, "That's a shooting star and the colors are different."

Dipper rolled his eyes and just kept walking. At one point, the younger twin slowed down

"I'm glad you made it," He started. Dipper then turn to his sister, his face painted with empathy, "Listen, Mabel, there's one more thing you have to do for me,"

"No, Dipper, I won't ask Wendy to date you,"

Dipper's face did not change. Instead, he continued, "You've got to forgive yourself for everything that went down the other day."

Mabel rolled her eyes, "Gee, you are so annoying sometimes, you know that?" She looked back to her brother, his face remained the same. Finally, Mabel just sighed, "Alright."

"Cool." Dipper smiled

"Awkward sibling hug?" Mabel suggested.

"What do you mean?"

Mabel then turned to a lanky, red-headed teen, dressed in a black blouse and skirt.

"You know, the awkward sibling hug, where we just hug out our problems and just resolve whatever is bothering us."

Wendy's eyes start to tear up. She kneel down to Mabel's level and hugged the elder Pines twin, stroking her brown hair gently.

"Where do you think we are?" She softly said, holding herself back from crying.

Mabel turned her head to the direction where Dipper was just standing. Her mind went blank. Her body felt numb. Her face stood expressionless. She did not know what just happened. Dipper was here, now he's gone. Gone. That's right. Dipper was gone.

Wendy stood up and took Mabel's hand.

"C'mon, everyone's waiting." The teen led her friend passed a few graves, towards a crowd of people all wearing similar clothes as Wendy. They took the space in the front, seated right next to Mabel's parents, just across a black coffin.

On top of the coffin was the hat and picture of Mabel's most beloved family in the world. Tears start to flow down her cheek as she remembered where she was.

A priest stood in front of everyone, starting the wake, but Mabel didn't hear what he said. She felt the warmth of her mom as she hugs Mabel tightly, she could feel Wendy holding her hand. But Mabel did not hear anything. She was not looking at anything in particular either. She was just staring blankly into space, too lost in her own thoughts, plagued by the events that lead to why all this is happening.

AN: Always wanted to try writing this scene. I mean, if anyone is familiar with this scene, than you know how heart-breaking it was. I know the roles should have been reversed, but this is not the end of the story..

Disclaimer: Gravity Falls belongs to Alex Hirsch/Disney and the scene I took was from Scrubs, which does not belong to me, so yeah.

Please review, comment, criticize, etc..
