Rachel sat on her bed and her tears fell quickly down her cheeks and onto the pillows. Her mind started to wonder off. Off to Finn. What was he doing now that he broke her heart once again? Last time was different though; she had Jesse to help her get through that break up. But now she had no one. That was it, the answer to her problems.
She reached over to her phone and called Jesse.
"I never expected to receive a call from Rachel Berry."
"Hello Jesse."
"Hello, now what do you need?"
"Help,"
"Help?"
"Yes. Jesse Finn broke up with me and you got me through it last year I need help getting through it again."
I stopped and waited for a response. Nothing, damn.
"Rachel, really, I mean our break up was awful. Why are you asking me, why not Puck or Kurt?"
"Well Kurt has currently left us for Dalton Academy and Noah, well he tried to help me and that's why I am in this situation."
"Berry listen, I am in Cincinnati doing a show. I go home to New York in a few days."
"Jesse please,"
"Fine, I have a show tonight but I can be in Lima tomorrow night."
"Thank you Jesse."
"You're welcome Berry."
I paused, thinking of things to say and wanting to talk to him for a little longer.
"So how have you been? We have not talked in forever."
"Good. I went to New York this summer and now I live there."
"That sounds nice."
"It is very nice. So how have you been?"
"I have been good. We won sectionals, well tied with Dalton."
"That's great Rachel. I have to go. I will see you tomorrow."
"See you tomorrow Jesse."
He hung up and she felt relieved, she finally had someone to talk to who might actually care a little bit about her. I mean they almost went all the way. All that love he had for her and she for him could not just go away because of one little mistake she made. Sure she pretty much broke his heart but they had been through so much together.
They were perfect for each other. Both destined to win a bunch of Tony awards and both stars of their school's glee club. They we both amazing singers and he had the only vocals, besides Finn's, that could possible match her tone.
"Wait!" she thought out loud. "Oh Berry why are you falling for the Saint again, hm… Rachel St. James. I like it."
Next day.
Rachel heard a knock on the door and ran down the steps. She opened it.
"Hello Jesse."
"Hello Berry."
Rachel jumped into his arms and met her lips with his. She pulled back and he looked at her then pulled her in again.
"Rachel you were all I could think about when I left. I am so sorry."
"No it was my fault I hurt you but I won't hurt you again. No never ever again."
"I love you Rachel. Will you marry me?"
Rachel stood there with her eyes wide open not knowing what to say. She looked at him and then kissed him.
"Yes," but, "after high school."
