Summary: All the things A-ya has ever wanted to say to C-ta... he says it to his rabbit instead. Dark. Drabble.
Disclaimer: I would love to own A-ya's rabbit doll. Unfortunately I own neither that nor anything else in Shuuen no Shiori.
A/N: I'll try doing a D-ne fic next.
Let's begin, the dark hero's performance.
"...yes? Is there something you wanted?" A-ya said, looking down.
"Ahaha, you're so cold, A-ya! Why don't you smile for once~?" A soft, muffled thump as something hit the floor.
"What's it to you, C-ta?" A-ya replied, almost aggressively
"Eh... just a suggestion. You're really helpless sometimes, A-ya..."
"..." The black-haired boy lay on his back.
"...hey, A-ya, why are you always so depressed?"
"Aren't you the same?" A-ya glared back.
"Wha...?"
"Don't pretend. For as long as I've known you, you always make this twisted expression when you think no one's looking. And your laugh, what the fuck is that? Your laughter always sounds empty, there's no real happiness in it." A finger flicked forwards, although in the dark room it couldn't be seen.
"What, A-ya...!"
"You're even more depressing than me, C-ta. I thought you, at least, could give me some excitement in this boring existence, but all you do is throw fake smiles at everyone, just like the awful, hypocritical majority of the human race. It's depressing just to watch you." By now, A-ya'd voice had rose by an octave. "Why do you do this, C-ta? I hate watching you like this. Does it make you happy? Does it-"
"A-ya?"
A-ya's head jerked up. From the doorway, a shaft of light pierced the gloom and shone directly on him. It was his mother, poking her head in.
"A-ya?" She repeated, raising her eyebrows. "What are you doing, talking to yourself like that?"
"..." The boy dropped his stuffed rabbit. It was a bit battered from him shaking it and shouting at it. "...nothing, Mom."
The aproned woman sighed. "Well, come down for dinner. It's hamburger steak."
"Okay." He said, getting up. As his mother turned around to leave, A-ya spoke to the rabbit. "One day..."
"One day, I'll say all that to the real C-ta."
A/N: A-ya is without a doubt the hardest character for me to write. Sad, because he's also my favorite character.
