Lost but almost not quite found

Chapter 1

By Aj Massey

Hello and welcome to my very first (published) fanfiction. I would like to keep the author's notes short so all I am going to say is that criticism is greatly appreciated if it is due in other words please offer constructive criticism but don't rip me to shreds please I hope you enjoy this hopefully decent attempt at a fanfic.

Maka figured she had time to make it back home to kick Blair out of the house for the day and leave a note asking soul to pick up some food on the way home before picking up crona to meet with lord death. She was wrong, well for the most part at least she did not count on having to sprint through the halls of the DWMA book bag beating against her thigh with every step becoming increasingly sore. Dashing down the steps to the dungeon taking the steps two at a time skidding alarmingly on the last one she chastised herself a bit as the neared crona's room, he would find some way to blame himself if she hurt herself on the way to his room. Reaching the door she knocked a few times and waited patiently an expectant smile perched on her face. With a slight creak the door swung open just long enough for a single worried looking eye to peer out through the crack before swinging wide to reveal crona shifting from foot to foot while smiling shyly.

"H-hi Maka I was getting worried about you you said you would be coming at secen a-and its nearly six oh clock" maka smiled looking a little sheepish "Yeah sorry I kind of miscalculated the amount of time it took to get to my house and back, plus blair trying to hide under the bed so she could stay home and throw a party or something did'nt help" crona smiled and nodded his eyes shifting a bit before jumping a bit when ragnarok materealized on crona's back with that ever so unpleasent squelching noise "Come on we have to get moving or we're gonna be late! we can worry about how the cows fat ankles slowed her down later" Maka managed to stay calm although the panicking crona did not fail to notice the twitching in her right eye "I suppose he's right Crona we should get moving lord death said he wants to see us at seven thirty sharp" she gestured for crona to follow before turning and setting off down the hall at a brisk pace "Umm Maka" "Yes crona?" "I think it might be good if we spead up a bit its five minutes to seven thirty" Maka checked her watch and groaned a little rubbing her already tender leg "Yes we probably should lets go" and the two off them set off at a run towards the death room one with a wobbly grin on his face and the other also with a grin if a bit pained donned on hers.
