Captain Victoria Falcon sat huddled with her monkey, Jack, and the compass he "borrowed" for her. Jack the Monkey had originally belonged to her friend, Captain Henry Barbosa, but Jack the Monkey preferred Victoria, and decided to travel with her. She was still looking at the compass when her first mate, Irena Chibb, spoke.
"Are we almost there, Cap'n?"
"Aye. The needle disappeared entirely. Can't be long now."
"Disappeared, ma'am?"
"Do ye believe in magic, matey?"
"I'm not certain. Me mum was always the superstious type, but never me. Why? What does that have to do with yer compass?"
Victoria sighed. "Never mind, I just-" She was cut off by a sharp cry from above.
"Land ho!" Victoria ran to the head of the ship and looked out over the rolling ocean, to see the docks of Singapore.
"Erm, if ye don't mind me sayin', is this about Cap'n Ja-"
"Actually, I do mind."
"Sorry! Please, I was only curious."
Victoria sighed again. She seemed to be in a very sigh-y mood lately. "I know. I don't hold it against ye. I would be askin' the same questions, too, if'n I were ye."
"When will we be back in the Re-"
Victoria hushed her. "It's nay safe to speak of such a thing here."
"But I-" she was silenced with a glare from her captain. "Yes ma'am."
"Now, drop the sails, and rein the Pearl inwards."
Irena hastened to do as she was bid. Victoria fastened her gaze outwards, towards the docks, absentmindedly stroking Jack the Monkey. She murmured to herself: "You will nay be safe for much longer, Captain Jack Sparrow."
___
Captain Jack Sparrow was not safe. He knew it, but what could he do about it? The only option was suicide, and he was too beautiful for that. Therefore, he would just have to tough it. He sighed and walked out of the rum store. Immediately, he was being chased by an angry mob. Well, angry wasn't quite the word to describe it. More like crazed. Of course this would happen. With his luck, they would catch him! He ran like crazy, jumping over potholes and weaving past bystanders. Of course, the female bystanders joined the mob.
Not that it isn't weird for people to adore me and add me as a fandom, he thought to himself. But why now? Why not when I first learned swashbuckling? He had no idea. But what he did know, was that the crazy girls were gaining fast. What to do, what to do! His eyes scanned for a place to go, but there was nowhere. Suddenly, he felt a sharp jerk and was pulled into an alley he hadn't seen before, presumably by a fangirl. He spun around, ready to defend himself, but the girl that stared back was no crazy fangirl. Of course, she could very well be a fangirl, but she wasn't crazy.
Oh was he wrong.
"Who are you?" he asked.
"Captain Victoria Falcon, at your service." She bowed a little, but quickly straitened. "Those girls will find you soon. Follow me." She motioned for him to go deeper into the shadowy alley. Jack the Monkey was waiting for them, with his little monkey hands on the ground. Or at least it looked like the ground. It was really a pothole upon closer inspection. It was marked with a foreign language that look like gibberish. In truth, it said "Redwall Universe," but of course he wouldn't have known that.
"In." was the only thing Victoria said. She kicked the lid off and pushed him into a swirling vortex…
