Disclaimer- Avatar is the best show ever! That is the reason why I don't own it. The idea is too good to be mine…

Katara looked out into the world. She saw past the crashing waves of water, above the strong pillars of earth, beyond the scorching flames of fire, and most of all, through the twists and turns of the air.

It was said that long ago the four nations lived all together in harmony. Then, the ruthless firebenders just had to attack the other three nations. It was said that only the avatar could stop them, and that when he was needed most of all, he disappeared. Just like that.

Katara remembered the day they found Aang in the iceberg, how he was the one and only avatar, and that he needed to learn much before he could save anyone. But she also remembered the fact that she always believed he could save the world.

She was right after all. Aang had saved the world. He stopped a 100 year war, with the help of her and her brother, Sokka, and Toph. But when it all just stopped in the midst of her eyes…it all seemed too good to be true.

Sokka acted differently now, he was a little less sarcastic and more protective. He seemed wiser in her eyes.

Then there was Toph, she was always proud of her earthbending. She seemed to show more emotion now, and a bit more understanding.

Katara herself was changed. She was happier than usual and always seemed slightly less motherly.

Most of all…Aang changed. His eyes were always filled with wisdom. He never flinched in battle…never lost again. War had not been kind to him. No one could compare to the losses he had because of it. But Katara had almost lost him on the fateful day in Ba Sing Se. She saw him fall all because of Azula. And because of that, she was watchful around him.

Nevertheless…The war had concluded. Everyone tried to live an ordinary life. But as lives continued on as normally as possible, no one could shake off the fact that there was indeed a war. The people would forever be scarred with loss and hatred forever. No one truly trusted the fire nation.

But as the wind blew across her face…Katara's tears were lifted into the air. They were carried into the sky's patterns and swiped of her cheeks. All those days filled with hate. All of them just sailed right past her. No more would she suffer tragic deaths or treachery. The world seemed to lift off her shoulders and she knew that it was off Aang's. He had been the world's last hope…the guide. He had done what he was meant to do. Then, she began to look out into the sun's orange and red rays. She stared out, and into the distance
