Letting the tattered, blood-soaked t-shirt drop, Bobby returned to his heartbreaking task.

"Hurts to see ya like this, boy," he muttered. Removing the shirt exposed the true extent of the hell hound's damage: blood-slathered innards trailing from a gaping hole in Dean's chest, right leg drenched in blood. Bobby carefully peeled off the jeans. He meticulously cleaned the blood from Dean's face, amulet and body.

Bobby placed a field bandage over Dean's chest, followed by a second one as the blood seeped through the first bandage. He re-dressed Dean, bending to whisper, "Good-bye, Dean. Don't worry, I'll look after Sammy."
