Set after Jane discovers the truth about Lucy's miscarriage. Jane eventually tells Christian what happened.

A short fanfic - reviews welcome.

Christian: "Oh Sis, I'm so sorry. I can't believe you didn't tell me about it."

Jane: "Well you had your own problems at the time, besides you are in no position to criticise – six months you were going out with Syed and not a word!"

Christian: "That was different, I made a promise to Syed, just because he broke his promises doesn't mean that I would. Anyway given your reaction when you did find out it, you have to agree I was right thing. I still can't believe that you didn't support me that Christmas."

Jane: "On Christian I am sorry, I guess I really didn't understand just how you felt about him then. I do now though – are you two still happy?"

Christian: "Well Syed is still hurting so much over his family's rejection, except for Tamwar. Apart from that I never thought I could be like this."

It was true, Christian had never been this happy. Every morning he wakes up before the alarm goes off just so that he could enjoy those precious few minutes, to see Syed's eyes flicker open and catch that gorgeous smile when he realises I am lying next to him.

Right now Christian was struggling to come to terms with what Jane was telling him. It was hard to comprehend that Iain would lie to Jane about Lucy having an abortion. His first thought was for Lucy. He couldn't really feel angry at her – he had always known she was a crazy mixed up kid, and he was sure that she would have been frightened at the thought of having a baby, even if Jane was on hand to bring it up.

Although Jane had the best of intentions she so wanted a baby of her own Lucy must have felt pressurised into going through with the birth and it must have been confusing enough for her to take such a big decision without having her Dad pack Jane off on a holiday and make Lucy keep such a momentous choice from all the people who should have been able to help and counsel her. Christian himself would have wanted to be able to talk her. As it was it had all taken place in secret.

He could understand a scared teenager going along with it, but there was no such understanding for Iain. He knew how Jane felt; it was his place to be honest. Lying not just once, but many times about something that was so important was a basic breach of trust.

Christian: "So there is nothing I would like more to help part Iain from his money, so just tell me what you want me to do."
