I know most of you guys hate Heather, but I dont. So like, if you really dont care about her life, dont read this! Cuz this is all about Heather before she met Sammy. And a little bit of when she met Sammy. DONT HATE MEEEE! Cuz Sammy's barely in this story. Anyways, ENJOY :)!

Dad stopped the car on the side of the street, at the back of a long line of cars. I could see girls and boys racing around, meeting friends again and entering the huge school building. Everything seemed so different here. Back in Pennsylvania everyobe seemed so familiar. Out in Colorado, I knew almost nobody. Almost nobody. I suddenly spotted Emily, a girl my age that I had met yesterday. She was my new next-door neighbor. She had come over to our house to welcome us. I giggled, remembering the horrified look on Mom's face when Casey had whistled at Emily. Mom thought Emily was hideous. Casey had later told me that he thought she was "fine." I glanced over at Casey, who was sitting next to me. He seemed to be searching the crowd of students. The next second, Emily appeared at the window, smiling.

"Hi guys!" she chirped. No really, she sounded like a bird! "Are you going to this school Casey?"

"No," he answered. The smile slipped of Emily's face. "Heather is though!" Casey quickly told her.

"Oh, that's great then!" she said, regaining her cheerfulness quickly. "Come on or we'll be late!" I unbuckled my seatbelt, grabbed my backpack, and jumped out of the car.

"Are you sure you want to get out here Heather? It's a bit of a walk from here to the building," Mom asked.

"Nah, Im fine Mom"

"Are you sure Heather?"

"Yeah Mom! Im in 6th grade mow. A two minute walk wont hurt me!" I answered, annoyed.

"Im just worried because you had your period this morning and..." she said a bit too loudlu before getting cut off by Casey, who cleared his throat and shifted in his seat. He hadn't known this and was obviously uncomfortable with this new piece of info. I saw people pointing at me and whispering. My face turned red and I felt a mixture of embarrassmebt and anger. Mom opened her mouth to continue but Dad saved me.

"We really need to get going!" he said, turning the car back on.

"Bye Casey!" Emily called to him. He grinned and waved as they drove away. Emily and I started walking towards the huge building.

"Your brother is totally HOT!" she whispered to me. I laughed.

"Riiiiight!" Emily looked offended.

"Im serious!" she said.

"What's so great about him anyways?" I asked.

"Im not completely sure," Emily admitted. "He's really sweet. And his eyes..." she sighed.

"I should have guessed! My best friend in Pennsylvania thought his eyes were the prettiest things ever," I said.

"Who was your best friend?" Emily asked, trying not to sound too curious.

" A girl named Nikki. She was crazy about Casey," I answered. "Personally, I don't see the big deal."

"You wouldn't!" Emily said, but not in a mean way. "Believe me Heather. You are LUCKY! Girls would die to have him for a brother." I rolled my eyes, but thought, I really am lucky to have Casey for a brother!
