Soft, fuzzy, brown… he really was never good at describing things. Least of all, the bear that he held in his hand. Here he was with the bear in hand, looking into the warm, eyes of that special someone… his special someone. "Oh! Hey, who's the bear for?" she asked, smiling innocently at him. He stuttered, "Um-um- no one." He mentally slapped himself in the head. "Oh?" she smiled innocently and a gentle flush colored her cheeks. "Can I have it then?" He turned his head aside to hide the blush that quickly crept on his cheeks, and stretched the bear towards her. "Sure."

He was leaving for China in a few days. He wanted her to know. "Sakura-chan," he stammered as she held the bear in her hands. "Yes?" "I-I-I love you." A look of surprise and silence stretched between them. "I just- I just wanted you to know… before I go back to China." The shock on her delicate features was replaced by sadness, and emerald eyes watched as the young boy named Syaoran Li ran from her.

I tried to paint you a picture, the colors we're all wrong

The airport was loud and chaotic. Something Syaoran welcomed. With his confession to Sakura, he couldn't help mentally slapping himself for his rash actions. The girl he had originally hated… he had grown to love. The overhead announcer announced his flight was ready to board and Syaoran stood, walking slowly towards the descending escalator.

"Syaoran-kun!" Syaoran's heart skipped a few beats as he heard the familiar voice. He stopped and turned, staring at the exhausted girl in front of him. "I came- I came to say-" Syaoran placed a finger to his lips. "Don't say it Sakura." She smiled and nodded, "Right. It's just 'see you later'."

I walked a minute in your shoes, they never would have fit

They both smiled and gave each other a parting hug. Never did they speak that word. That word of forever sadness, of forever loss, of forever feeling empty. That word… goodbye. They would see each other again… someday.

Years passed. Sakura had grown. Her hair longer, slender legs jutting from the uniform skirt gracefully. She placed her feet in her shoes and opened the door to walk to school. "Ow!" a shadow cast over her frame. Looking up, she noticed a pair of familiar brown eyes. "Syaoran…" she weakly exclaimed. He smiled looking down at her, "Missed me?"
