Well, I' was in a writing mood, and thought I should work on stories that had yet to be started. I had this songfic idea and just had to do it.

*Its been a long time coming since I saw your face*
A purple cat walked towards the house of a good friend.
*Since we held it down*
This friend of hers was the last one to see her before now.
*Since we were in the chase*
The young cat reached her friend's door and knocked on it. After a minute or two it was opened by a silver hedgehog. As soon as the door was open the cat hugged him.
*It was the road less traveled*
This was rare for Blaze, she hardly ever hugged anyone.
*The path less formed*
The silver hedgehog was taken by surprise.
*A skinny trail it was barely worn*
He thought it was Amy at first. But that didn't seem right.
*But we kept on walkin and slippin and talkin and runnin and fallin and cryin and crawlin*
Amy was going out with Sonic.
*We were in the trenches, on top of the world*
He looked down.
*Young refugees but we were mommas pearls*
He saw his best friend. He was so surprised.
*Where you been dog? Where you been?*
He hugged her back tightly.
*I thought you fell of the face of the earth*
"I never thou-thought I'd see you, again," Tears were starting to fall from the hedgehog's eyes.
*Its been way too long and we've come to far*
"Somehow, I was able to get myself back here. I haven't talked to anyone but you so far,"
*For you drop out my life like a falling star*
"I'm glad you were able to, I don't know what would have happened if you ha-hadn't,"
*Right off my radar*
I couldn't leave you Silver. You're my best friend,"
*Not a sign or a trace*
"It's been several years since I last saw you,"
*You know I had love for you thats bigger than mistakes*
"I am happy for you though. Those several years paid off in the end. Know why?"
*Now Hope road is calling*
"Why's that Silver?"
They had gone inside and were talking on Silver's couch. Silver had an arm around Blaze.
*Lets pack you up and move*
Silver shifted a little so he was facing her.
"Because, I have you back now,"
He pulled her in for another hug, and she happily accepted.
"I've missed you too Silver,"
*Cause real friends are willing to intrude*
Silver kissed Blaze's forehead.
"There's something else I want to tell you..."
"What's that Silver?"
*So Im gonna push in cause I wanna love you well*
"I, well, I love you. When you sacrificed yourself to save the world, it was, it was really hard for me to watch."
Blaze processed what he had just said. Realizing that he had admitted that he liked her she pulled him into a tight hug.
"I love you too Silver!"
*Let the ghosts of your past rest*
"Y-you do?"
Blaze pulled away and nodded.
*Open up the door*
Silver smiled at her.
"That's great!"
She smiled back.
*This is the first day of the rest of your life*
Without warning, Silver planted his lips on the cat's.
*What are you waiting for?*
She realized what was going on, and kissed back.
*Open up the door*
They pulled apart and realized how tired they both were. The excitement of seeing each other again block out how tired they were. The two were having trouble keeping their eyes open.
*To life*
And they lay down and fell asleep.
