I'm looking for a story I read years ago.
I think the story began with Bella and Edward disliking each other, but they are both friends with Jacob. Jacob makes Edward promise to take care of Bella if something would happen to him and later he dies (I think this was in a motorcycle accident, though I'm not sure). Bella is devastated after losing Jacob and misses a few weeks of school and getting a little make-over in those weeks (loses weight and gets new clothes).
Edward starts looking after Bella. At first, because of the promise, but later they start dating and really like each other. I think when Bella finds out about the promise she feels betrayed. And that's all I remember.
Does anyone recognize this story? Please help me find it.
