Kurt was a weird little boy. Or so everyone said. Kurt didn't mind what the other kids in school thought about him. His mommy had taught him that everyone was made in a very different and unique way, and there were some people who just didn't know how to appreciate it. That's why, when he was alone in one of the swings at the school playground, he wasn't startled at all by the question he heard.
"Do you like playing with girls?"
A short boy with curly black hair had approached him. Kurt had been eyeing him warily since their first class. The boy was new, but new boys sometimes met with the guys who bullied him, and Kurt really didn't want anyone else kicking his ankles at the end of school.
Kurt eyed the boy suspiciously before answering. He was wearing a dark shirt and jeans. Yeah, sure, he was short, but so was James and that didn't stop him from beating Kurt up. "Yes" he answered in a small voice.
The other boy smiled "Cool, me too" he said, and sat down in a swing next to Kurt's. "My name's Blaine" the boy said, smiling wildly
"I'm Kurt" he said, smiling back. Maybe this kid wasn't bad after all.
