The chemistry was there. He's weird but she finds it charming. He always makes her laugh. She always makes him lost his words – though he seems very articulate. They share the same prominent cheekbones, their talents and dedication in their craft and love for their mothers. He is a gentleman and tries to earn his title of being known as one woman man. She is sophisticated and want nothing but to find the man who is willing to stay. Early morning or late evening, no one bothered to check. Glances were exchanged, smiles were given. They talked, enjoying each other's company, maybe even flirted, kissed. – at that, he knew he wanted moments like this with her. She's not quite sure.
Months passed, Tom couldn't believe nothing happened after that night. Maybe his friend weren't as striking to women like everyone believed. After all, he was kind of a dork. He knew she and his friend felt something towards each other, both not wanting to admit. So Tom tried to help both of them by inviting them both for dinner. He is early, as Tom expected. And, she's with Tom all day at an event so Tom drove her to where he is waiting, and as soon as they both realized what's happening, Tom left them but not before giving his friend a nod. It was a fine plan, Tom did. But it would have been a success if he knew a couple of things – He already told her how he felt he knew she also felt, but she wasn't quite ready yet.
A few months and a year more, he would always say great things about her whenever he was asked, as did she. They can't lose their connection because they once worked together, and their chemistry still lingered. As she went back to where she first met him, a reunion she's been waiting to happen. She remembered that last night they shared, he said he'll wait for her. She hoped he still is because this time, she's certain. This time, she's ready. But as she went back in that set, she smiled at him. He looked at her with defeated eyes. Their scene prompted her to touch his cheekbone seductively, but what she gave was longing. He knew that look too, because once, he looked at her with that same longing. Three seconds suddenly became long, she had realized – He waited too long and she was too late.
She never confessed her feelings about him. He's happy, she should be. At the sight of his name in the papers announcing his engagement, She accepted her boyfriend's proposal and asked to be married the next month after. – Lara got married that Dec. 2014. Benedict got married the next year.
