Water is essential for life, and is good for quenching a thirst. Ice is the frozen form of water. Ice is cold, as it needs to be in order to freeze. When you have a very large amount of ice in one spot, its called a glacier. You can find glaciers in the sea if you go far enough to the north or south. Glaciers, being made of ice, and ice being frozen water, ironically enough, aren't really the best place for life to go and do its thing. Did I mention that it gets cold?

Carolina sat inside of her temporary shelter, an ice-cave she had found while stumbling around half-blind in the snow, shivering slightly, and watching as the blizzard she had just escaped raged outside. The howling wind echoed all across the cave walls, sounding like a raging beast; it was so loud that she could hardly hear herself think. And to think, she had only just got here a few hours ago.

"Well, it looks like we're snowed in." She said to the empty cave, her voice bouncing off of the crystalline walls, and becoming lost in the enraged howls of the blizzard.

"Yeah, well, I'm not surprised. With our luck, I'm just happy the glacier hasn't fallen apart yet." Church said with a sigh, flashing to life above her shoulder.

"You do have a point..." She said, looking down at the ground for moment, before correcting her gaze and continuing, "Doesn't change the fact that it's costing us time though." She finished, crossing her arms and looking at the white storm that awaited outside their safe-haven.

"Quit your bitchin' Nancy, the weather will clear up eventually." Church said, taking a seat on her shoulder.

Carolina was silent for a moment, before erupting into a chorus of barely audible giggles. Church turned to her, thoroughly confused. Hearing her laugh was rare, and it kind of threw him off."What?"

Carolina shook her head from side to side, still giggling slightly, her gaze directed at the cave floor once more. After a few more moments she finally regained her composure. "You- you sounded just like Sarge!"

"Fuck you."
