Chapter 1
Me: This is my new Harry Potter Draco X harry fanfic. Sorry, but this is tied with Victuuri right now. Sorry.
Harry: What. The. Hell.
Draco: Am I hearing you right?
Harry: Please don't do this, Midday.
Draco: I agree with Harry.
Me: OOOH. Write it down in history! These two tsundere lovers agreed on something!
Drarry: WE ARE NOT LOVERS!
Hermione: *walks in* Midday hopes that you enjoy and remember that she does not own any characters except any possible OC.
Harry woke with a start, waking up delightfully to a smack in the head from the low ceiling in his under-the-stairs makeshift bedroom. Flipping onto his side and slouching up, he groaned and rubbed his temples.
"I swear, If I see one more letter from that wretched place!"
's obnoxious voice rang out from the kitchen, which was right next to Harry's cabinet home.
The letters were invitations back to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry was a third-year student there, but mandatory invitation letters were sent every year.
Harry didn't understand why the Dursleys cared if he went or not. They didn't give a damn what he did otherwise. He decided to leave anyway.
Changing into a plain blue t-shirt, blue jeans, and his coat (all hand-me-downs, of course) , Harry threw his few personal belongings into his cracked leather suitcase and started for the door. They probably wouldn't notice him missing until morning.
Harry met his good friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger at Platform 9¾ to board their train. Laughing from the rush of the excitement of a new school year, they all ran right through together, toppling out the other side.
As they talked about their break, families, and other plans, Harry felt eyes on him. He glanced around and noticed Draco Malfoy glaring intensely at him, his light blonde hair falling gently into his face. Draco caught Harry's eye for a moment, then turned on his heels and walked off with his two goons, Crab and Goyle.
Harry was so fixed on glaring at Draco that he didn't realize that his friends were talking to him.
"Hello?!" A hand waved in front of his face, blocking the view and snapping him out of his trance. "Earth to Harry!"
Harry laughed and Hermione laughed right along with him.
"Gosh, is Malfoy more important to you than us?" Ron joked.
Harry rolled his eyes. "You know I hate him," he reminded Ron.
Ron joined the laughter and they walked towards the train to get a good compartment. You snooze you lose, and Harry didn't really want to share a compartment. Sadly, that's what ended up happening.
"Potter," said Malfoy as the three piled into his compartment. "What a surprise."
Harry sat down and looked out the window, trying to ignore Draco. Draco always had a weird vibe to him. He was mean to Harry, but he always seemed to have Harry's best interest at heart. Even if he did though, Harry hated him with a purpose, so Draco played the same to play cool.
No sooner had the gang set their stuff down and everyone settles in than Harry was already peacefully asleep, facing the window.
Draco didn't get Harry.
He also didn't know how to explain his situation without sounding like a complete psychopath, either.
Pushing negative thoughts out of his mind, Draco focused on Harry. Harry's crazy, messy brown hair had fallen over his face, only exposing a gently closed eye and a slightly open mouth, exposing teeth.
Draco's face flushed and he glanced away sheepishly. What was wrong with him? He had to explain his situation first, but it was impossible to find the right time.
He sighed and thought of catching some sleep as well. Sadly, that wasn't the smartest idea since everyone in his compartment were complete Drarry shippers. They could not be trusted.
Much to his displeasure, his exhaustion caused him to give in to sleep anyway.
Harry woke up feeling pressure on his shoulder. He was sore already? Quidditch hadn't even started yet!
He glanced over and noticed a tuft of white-blonde hair. Apparently, while Harry was sleeping, Draco had also drifted off to sleep and someone had leaned Malfoy against him.
Looking for someone to blame, he scanned the rest of the people in the train car for signs of guilt.
Hermione, Ron, and Goyle obliged. Crab was stuffing his face with chocolate frogs.
Harry glared with a purpose at the three while Draco started to stir. He stretched out one arm and straightened himself.
Draco, feeling weight on his side, glanced over to see a half asleep Harry, his hair messy in that I-just-woke-up flawless look.
Draco scrambled to hop back into his original seat across from Harry while he gave Goyle a stern lecture.
"Harry is our enemy," Draco spelled out in the simplest terms possible. "I shouldn't be… put… together… with him, okay?"
Harry was doing the same with Hermione and Ron, but a lot louder and with harsher tones.
The train jolted to a stop and Harry stood up, catching the handle of Draco's suitcase with his head, causing all of the contents to spill out.
Hermione, Ron, Crab, and Goyle scurried out, leaving Draco and Harry alone to clean up, much to Harry's displeasure.
Harry sighed and got to work carefully picking up clothes and placing them back in the suitcase when a cold hand reached out and grabbed Harry's arm.
"Don't touch my clothes, Potter." Malfoy said through gritted teeth.
Harry stood up, realizing that Draco was not worth an apology when something completely surprising happened.
Draco grabbed Harry's face with his hands, gripping so tightly as to construct Harry's face. Harry struggled, but he couldn't move his arms.
Draco leaned close and said,"I hate you, Harry."
He then proceed to, well, how do I explain this? It was like a kiss. Except painful. Draco bit down on Harry's lip so hard that blood squirted into Malfoy's mouth and all over the front of both of their clothes. Malfoy let go of Harry, and Harry crumpled to his knees.
Harry looked up at Draco, his eyes full of hate. "Are you happy now, Malfoy?" Was all that Harry could manage as he spat blood at him.
The blood was all over their clothes, suitcases, and the compartment.
They ended up heading to the school in complete silence. Sadly, the welcoming ceremony had already started as both boys barged into a completely quiet room.
All heads turned towards them. All of the students took in the two boys, covered in blood, Harry having a lip injury. Bite marks were visible, causing some Slytherin kids to snicker.
Professor McGonagall scoffed at the pair. "What on earth do you think that you are doing, barging into the welcoming ceremony late and looking like that?!"
Multiple teachers rolled their eyes.
"Sorry, Harry, but the Nurse must stay for the ceremony, as should you two. We can get you some ice at least, but come with me for a moment to discuss your punishment." She lowered her voice. "We can't be embarrassing you, can we?" She smirked.
Harry and Draco followed McGonagall right back out the door that they just came through. They could hear the activities resuming inside.
With a bit of detail-cutting, they got their punishment. They had to hold hands for every possible moment for the next two months as well as becoming roommates in a spare Slytherin room.
Taking deep breaths, the two began their punishment as they clasped hands and walked into the dining room, both of them red faced.
Two thirds of the students glanced their way, sending loud laughter through the hall and capturing that attention of the rest of the students.
Since they were to stay in the Slytherin dorm, they walked towards that table and sat at the end, sinking their clasped hands under the table to no one would see. Of course, everyone still did.
Dinner was painful, quite literally for Harry, and neither of them ate much. Hands still together, they laid their heads on their folded arms in unison.
After dinner, they were shown to their dorm room, which was smaller than the other rooms. Letting go of each other's hands, they decided beds and crashed.
All night, thunder boomed through the window. Being scared of thunder, Harry got up to close the window but found that he was having trouble. As he was trying to pry it shut, rain started pouring down.
Soaking wet, cold, and terrified, Harry continued his efforts in vain before a warm, dry figure came up from being Harry and placed his hands on top of Harry's. The combined effort slammed the window shut with a loud BANG! Harry wobbled back to bed and lay shivering and shaking, from the cold and fear.
He decided to relax on the couch before he went back to sleep, so Harry sat and placed his head in his knees.
Draco remembered that Harry was afraid of lightning. That is what drove him to help Harry in the first place.
Seeing Harry sitting on the couch, shivering made Draco feel bad. Hesitant on what to do, Malfoy took a blanket off of Harry's bed and draped it over Harry's shoulders.
He justified this by thinking that if Harry got sick, the punishment would probably extend.
The thing is, there is a sad situation that Draco hasn't been able to make Harry aware of yet. This was a life changing thing, but Malfoy was the only one who seemed to have any knowledge. The thing is, Harry and Draco were soulmates in a past life. Harry didn't seem to remember, but Draco did and he hated Harry for putting him through this one-sided torture.
Me: Great, right?!
