A/N: I was thinking about the lipstick challenge and was reminded of the episode "Mother, May I?" from The Cosby Show. I couldn't help Taggartfying it - hope you enjoy :)
Disclaimer: I own nothing.
You Look Good
Ebony looked up guiltily from where she was hovering over Michael, who was asleep on the couch, as Jackie entered the room. "Hi Mummy," she greeted her, "I didn't do it."
Jackie raised an eyebrow, "Are you telling me the truth?"
"No," Ebony admitted.
Jackie rounded the couch and caught sight of Michael; she stifled her smile with difficulty. "Ebony, why did you do this?"
"I wanted to see what Daddy would look like as a woman," she said simply.
Jackie turned her attention back to Michael, who was now (thanks to Ebony) wearing copious amounts of makeup, including a rather daring shade of red lipstick.
She cocked her head to the side, "Well…he doesn't look too bad," she said after a moment. "Michael," she began, tapping his leg to wake him, "Michael..." she continued in a sing-song voice, now finding it very hard to control her amusement.
He opened his eyes, "Hi."
She grinned, "Hi."
"What's so funny?" he asked, still a little groggy.
"Nothing," Jackie told him, trying to control her laughter, "you just look so beautiful."
"You look beautiful too," he told her with a smile, which only made Jackie laugh.
"No, Michael, you are really beautiful," she gestured towards the mirror, "I think you should go and see for yourself."
"I know what I look like," Michael replied, clearly having every intention of staying where he was.
"No, you need to see the new and improved you," she told him.
That got his attention.
With a suspicious look at Jackie's enigmatic smile and Ebony's slightly guilty expression; Michael heaved himself off the couch and moved to the mirror.
He wasn't entirely sure how to react when he saw his reflection.
"Who do I have to thank for this?" he asked mildly, still regarding his reflection.
"Me," said Ebony quietly, "are you mad?" she added as he turned around.
"No," Michael decided, coming to sit next to her on the couch, "I just want to know why you chose my face to express yourself."
Ebony looked down at her feet, "I'm sorry."
Jackie bit her lip to keep from laughing, "I'll go and get you something to clean that off with," she offered.
Michael nodded and watched her leave.
"Daddy?"
He looked down at Ebony, "Yes?"
"You look good," Ebony announced.
