This is my Save-Dark-Angel-Fic. English isn't my first language, so my
spelling and grammar sucks. Please humor me.
The people don't belong to me. It's sad, I know. They could give them to me since it seems like they don't want to keep them.

"What do you mean? It's over? You are kidding!"
He sighed. He didn't dare to look at her. He had been avoiding this talk but that morning she had caught him in his office.
"Look, I really tried. But they just....."
She raised her head, furious. "That's so not gonna happen! You said that you'd protect me Daddy! You said you'd always be there for me. You can't let them do that!" She started pacing, shaking her head.
"I'll kick their sorry a**! How dare they?"
Seeing her like that tore his heart apart. He felt small and guilty. But most of all he was angry. How could they do that to his baby? She was just so small and innocent!
"They are going to pay for this! They won't know what hit them. They are going to die. Painfully. I'll snap their necks, break their bones,..... "
Okay, so maybe she wasn't that innocent. But she was definitely the most amazing creature ever seen.
"And what about the people out there? Why aren't they doing anything? They just let them do that? They already let me down?"
He sighed again. "Sweetie, of course they care. They are as upset as you are. But FOX is too powerful. They have all the power."
He looked at her as he tried to apologize. He had once felt so powerful, so great, like the king of the world. But as he was sitting there, watching his little girl, he felt helpless and small. One of these days they were going to regret their decision. He was sure about it.
"Life's a bitch."
She stopped dead in tracks, turning around to face him. Anger flickered in her eyes. "Well, you can say that. You have a life, you always will. But what about me? What will happen to me? They just killed me! And you did nothing to stop them."
"Hey young lady, don't talk to me like that! It's not my fault now, is it?"
"It is! You are supposed to care for me. You are supposed to look after me Daddy!" She knew that she was being bitchy, but she was just too frustrated. For the first time in her life she felt helpless. She didn't like the feeling.
Why did they do that to her? She hadn't done anything wrong, had she? Hell, she didn't ask for much, she didn't need much, but they took away the only thing she ever wanted.
He saw the tears forming in her eyes and his heart broke. He had never seen his little girl like that. It wasn't supposed to end that way.
"They can't do that to me." The first tear escaped her eye and found it's way down her cheek. "There are all these loose ends. We didn't get a real end. It's not finished!" The tears were rolling freely now. She was standing in the middle of his office, looking pale and lost.
He took her in his arms, trying to calm her down, searching for words. "It's okay Maxie. I'll fix it. I have no clue how, but I will, somehow." Hell, he was James Cameron, there had to be something he could do. He won't let his girl, his Dark Angel down.
