Kyle looked at Jimmy from across the room and again wondered if he should tell him how he felt about him. What's the worst that could happen? Umm he could throw away 15 years of friendship and he wasn't prepared to do that. "Hey Jimmy I'm going to head home alright. It's been a long day and I need to get some sleep."
Jimmy looked up when Kyle called to him and smiled. Tonight was the night. No more hiding and no more lying. Tonight he was going to tell his best friend that he needed more. "I'll walk home with you. I didn't realize how tired I was till now." He threw his arm around Kyle and waved goodbye to the rest of the cast. "Be good guys! Don't do anything I would do!" He and Kyle walked out while the whole cast burst out laughing at Jimmy's joke.
Kyle stood stiff and rigid under Jimmy's arm. He seriously couldn't take much more of this. It was torture being this close to Jimmy and not be able to kiss him. Walking home with him was a bad idea. Kyle started to pull away when he felt Jimmy shift to look him in the eye.
"Hey Kyle I'm going to do something right now and I need you to not freak out okay." Jimmy grabbed Kyle's face looked him in the eyes and lowered his lips to his best friend's mouth.
Kyle stood shell shocked as he felt Jimmy's mouth move over his own. He must be dreaming this could not actually be happening. As Jimmy's tongue slipped into his mouth he stopped thinking and just started feeling. Fire and electricity shot through his body and he hung on to Jimmy for dear life.
Jimmy ran his tongue over Kyle's lips and dug his fingers into his hair and felt like everything was finally where it belong. He'd been waiting years for this moment and he was so glad Kyle hadn't shoved him away. He loved this man and he could feel the love radiating from Kyle. Everything was finally perfect.
As both men finally stopped to catch their breath they looked at each other with wonder. Neither one wanted to speak first but they knew a lot had to be said. Jimmy played with Kyle's hair and Kyle had his fingers wrapped in Jimmy's shirt. Neither one of them wanted to let go of the other. Silence surrounded them as they stood together.
Kyle took a step back and watched as Jimmy's face became a mask of insecurity and worry. Kyle smirked, cocked an eye brow, pulled Jimmy closer, and finally put him out of his misery. "Took you long enough stupid."
Jimmy smiled as Kyle reached up and pulled him down for another kiss. Sometimes taking a risk is really worth the reward.
