Taken
Chapter 1
A/N: So let's face it- Diane is a bitch. Whether it's in fanfiction or in the show, she is always portrayed as a snippy, nagging, rude bitch. Well, after watching devils trifecta (mainly the ending scene), I feel as if she is a little more relatable. Humanized maybe. So this is my attempt to put her into a different, more vulnerable light. Goes AU from the episode. Enjoy.

Her heart skipped a beat as Gordon Fremont walked toward her, dressed in a suit.
Oh god.
Her mouth had gone dry and she felt the cold fear settle in her stomach as realization hit her.
They had royally screwed up.
It was the damn man from the tax place- the same man that she had introduced herself as a federal agent to.
The operation was screwed.
"They said someone was wanting to be my accountant," he said with a slight sneer as he approached her, "But they didn't tell me it was an undercover agent".
She suddenly lost the ability to speak as Fremont pulled a gun and discreetly pointed it at her.
"Walk", he growled and she faltered, looking around for Leroy with wide eyes.
She found him at the top of the stairs, his eyes instantly on hers and he began his descent at a quickened pace.
She felt the gun press into her back, "Walk", Fremont growled in her ear, grabbing her arm tightly, and shoving her forward.
She nearly tripped in her heels and her heart beat wildly as he lead her to the side of the foyer, down a short hall, and then a man was holding a door for them.
Fremont wrapped an arm around her neck from behind, and lead her toward the man.
She noticed the door looked exactly like the wall and it didn't have a handle on the outside.
A freakin trap door!
Panic overtook her mind.
She had to get out of here before she was taken where they wouldn't be able to find her.
In an instant, her fight or flight instincts kicked in and she struggled wildly with her captor, "Leroy!", she screamed and then lunged forward, sinking her teeth Fremont's arm.
"You bitch!", he cried and shook her off him just as she heard gunshots erupt down the hall. Screams and shouts erupted everywhere.
Leroy.
She didn't even see Fremont's hand coming as he backhanded her hard enough that she was knocked to the ground.
Son of a bitch!
She looked up in time to see the door shut.
Her jaw throbbed.
She was trapped.
What the hell had she gotten herself into?
Fremont grabbed her arm and yanked roughly to her feet, "Move!", he shouted and shoved her forward, pressing the gun hard enough into her skin that she knew there would be a bruise there.
She nearly stumbled as she tried to match the pace he was trying to force her into. But she obviously wasn't fast enough because she saw the gun right before he hit her across the head with it.
She went down.
Her mind was screaming at her to get back up, but her body just plain wouldn't cooperate.
Black spots began to cloud her vision and she fought hard to stay conscious, if only until Leroy came and saved her.
"How much do the Feds know about us?", she heard one of the men ask.
"I don't know, but we're gonna get all the information out of her that she has.", Fremont said, and she could practically hear the sneer on his face, "And I know exactly how I'm gonna make her talk".
Oh god.
The black spots grew larger until they consumed her vision and she closed her eyes, her head throbbing.
Please Leroy, find me.
All went black.
A/N: good, bad? Keep going, cease immediately? Let Diane die? Be tortured? Rescued? Give me your thoughts!
