First of all I would like to say that this is my first fic EVER. So feel free to review anyway you like.
Second: the reason this fanfiction came to be was because I was sick of all the Naruto Emperor fiction make almost EVERYONE Naruto's enemy as if they never even considered him human. As such I have taken it upon myself to create my vision of how idea would play out.
Third: This WILL BE NaruHina but the twist is that Naruto is female in this version. You see I always thought that there need to be more NaruHina Yuri and so here is my contribution.
Fourth: ALMOST EVERTHING UP TO THE VALLEY OF THE END IS CANNON. While a few things will change that will be seen in flashbacks everything is mostly the same.
Fifth: Naruko will have ONE relationship before Hinata but that will be part of the reason why she becomes the Empress.
Sixth: Naruto is female because I not only want him to kick ass as girl but I think we need more badass heroines
Seventh: (Disclaimer) I don't own Naruto. If I did Sasuke would have die loooooooooong ago and we would see more Naruhina after Pain, especially after what Sakura did not to mention we have Naruhina babies by the end of the War.
Chapter 1: Connecting Pains
Lightening raged through the sky, dark clouds rumbled like the prequel to a coming storm. This was the setting in which two shinobi were grazed with during their battle in The Valley of the End.
One was a now a traitor to his village and an avenger to his clan. He was dress in dark blue shirt and white short pants. At only 13 years old he was considered the pride and joy of his village, hailed as a prodigy and rookie of the year, this child is Sasuke Uchiha bearer of the Heaven Curse Seal given to him by Orochimaru. Sasuke was at the foot of the statue made in the image of Madara Uchiha.
Sasuke was in the Second Stage of the curse mark. In this from his darkened skin into a grayish color while giving him a pair of human shape hand with fins between the fingers which made them doubled as wings. Another aesthetic change this form gave him was that his lips became purple and the white around his Sharingan became black while his hair grew until it reached his back and also turned purple.
On his right hand he was using the last of his chakra to charge his creating a black version of the Chidori so he could finish his opponent.
The second shinobi, his opponent, was at the foot of Hirashima Senju statue and said opponent that had brought him to the point of almost pure exhaustion was nothing but lone 12 year old blonde kunoichi.
She, unlike him, was considered the pariah of the village and a bitter reminder of a horrible memory. She was dressed in a tattered orange jumpsuit with blue strips. The front was opened reviling a black shirt with the symbol of their village in the middle. She was covered in a red-orange bubbling chakra cloak that was in the shape of a fox with two hears on top of her head and a long tail on her back.
Her nails had darken to black and extended to become claws, the normal size fangs in her mouth had also elongated to give her a stronger bite, then the whisker like birthmarks in her face darkened considerably and to finish the beastly look her normal deep blue eyes had bleed to brilliant crimson with slits. All of this coming tougher to give a truly feral look that could kill a lesser man.
This girl is Naruko Uzumaki the Jinchūriki of the Kyūbi no Yoko.
In her right hand she was charging chakra and creating a purple version of the Rasengan to stop Sasuke from fully committing his betrayal.
"SASUKE-TEME! STOP THIS! YOU CAN STILL COME BACK TO US!" yelled the girl in both anger and desperation. Could he not see that there was no future for him if he went to Orochimaru?!
"SHUT UP DODE! YOU KNOW NOTHING! I WILL AVENGE MY CLAN! EVEN IF IT MEANS BEING OROCHIMARU'S PAWN!" responded the avenger. Could she not see that this was the only way for him to kill his brother and avenge his clan?!
And with those final shouts both fighter jumped toward each other with their attacks really to finish the battle.
"SASUKE!"
"NARUKO!"
"CHIDORI!"
"RASENGAN!"
The following clash was immense; the shockwave of the explosion in of itself was felt throughout the whole valley. It could be said that in that moment it was not two preteens fighting but Madara and Hirashima themselves from the power radiating from the youths' final clash. But alas the clash can to its end and only one could be considered a winner.
It was the wielder of the lightning base attack that was proven the winner for his had ran through the chest of the wielder of the spiraling sphere.
The Uzumaki could only cough blood into the face of the shocked Uchiha. "Sa-Sa-Sasuke… You damn… idiot." was all she could really muster before coughing more blood and slowing losing her sight. Sasuke for his part was too shocked because he did not feel anything. There it was, the only person he could've ever considered a friend dying by his have and he felt nothing just emptiness. Not even when she slide off his arm and fell in the water. He just saw it, her body, drifting along the river without any resistance.
She was dead.
He killed her.
He felt nothing.
It surprised him how he did not felt the pain of lost. After all Naruko and Sasuke use to be teammates not too long ago; hell he thought that they may have been friend if not best friends. But standing there looking as her body sank into the river all he felt was indifference, like it was a common thing for him to see a friend die. Maybe it could've been because he saw his whole clan die at Itachi's hands or maybe he never saw Naruko as a friend? The Uchiha did not know but one thing was sure for him and it was that the strongest version of the Sharingan was not his after slaying the girl.
'You need to kill your best friend to unlock the Mangekyō Sharingan…. But I guess I never had one to begin with.' though Sasuke with a dead sigh upon looking at the sky. Then he turned his head to were Naruko's body was sinking but in not there anymore.
Thus he turned toward Orochimaru because now it was the only way to kill his brother, it was the only way to avenge his clan, and it was the only way for him to finally find peace. Darkness was the path he chooses and that will be the path he will walk till the end for he is an avenger.
All the while the clouds let their rain pour like they were crying loudly from a broken bond, a severed tread and a life lost.

He ran, he ran so fast that his legs felt like they were a going to fall off but he still ran. 'DAMN IT! I NEED TO GET THERE AND STOP THEM!' was the mantra uses by one Kakashi Hatake as he and his loyal summon dog Pakkun were running to where both Naruko and Sasuke where fighting. He would not fail. He would save them. He need too!
But then he felt it; that immense clash of chakra, both full of hatred and anger, so strong that both him and Pakkun had to stop for a moment. "Oh no…" Kakashi uttered because of the dread he felt in his stomach. He tripled his effort to get there, especially after in stated raining and the possibility of losing their trail had risen.
Regretfully it was not to be for when they got to the valley there was no one.
"Pakkun" the son of the White Fang said in a sorrow fill tone.
"I'm sorry but I can't find a trace" responded the loyal companion before he went back to the summon plain. He saw the look in his summoner's face, it was one of a man broken, lost and in pain. He knew the his friend would need time and space so he went but not before seeing Kakashi fall on his knees with tears already falling his visible eye.
"I failed you Sensei" was the barely audible whisper from leader of team 7.

'It hurts.'
She did not know how it happened. She was sleeping after another day of hard training thanks to her father and the elders.
The day had started like any other since the Sand-Sound invasion: she woke up, had breakfast, trained with her father, help rebuilt the villages and return home for more training, shower, dinner and the rest of the night for her. So she read a book and then went to sleep. Later that night her little sister had awaken her and saying that Neji-niisan was hurt because of an emergency mission. It was only natural for Hinata to be worried about her brother, especially after they are starting to act more like a family member; as such she went to the hospital.
There she found out that Tsunade-sama was able to not only save his life but make it so he would be out in a few weeks. Not only that but thanks to Shikamaru-san she was able to learn that Kiba-kun, Choji-san and Naruko-chan had all gone to the mission to retrieve the Uchiha with him in command. The only persona that yet to return was Naruko and had was worried her.
After all, this pain in her heart could not be a good sign. It stated as a small throb but now it was like when Neji attacked her heart in the Chūnin Exam but so much worse almost as she was burned from the inside out. Not to mention she could not stop the tears as if her soul knew what she lost.
'Naruko-chan… Please come back to us!' was all she could think as Shikamaru kept asking her frantically why she had collapsed so suddenly, holding her heart.

'It's cold.' the thought echoed in the darkness but she could not do anything.
"Sleep now child." said a strong voice.
'But it's cold.' though that thought this time sounded much softer.
"Sleep child, you need to conserve your strength." commanded the voice.
'Okay.' Those were the final thoughts the girl had before sleep overcame her.
Next Time: Sorrow fills the souls of few, joy fills the heart of many and a fallen angel awakens.
A/N:
This story will be a long one considering I plan on telling just how the Empire came into existence. Meaning that we'll get to see many fight during the time span that I set for the war of rebellion/unification. So be prepared to see a few time skips.
Oh and I don't have a BETA reader and since English is my second language it could very well be that I have a few (or a lot) of mistakes. Feel free to point them out and please review.
