"Alois!" Ciel threw his arms around the blonde, crying harshly. "I can't believe I found you! I-I thought I was alone!"

Ciel and Alois had been stuck in a place close to hell... It was in between. They were surrounded by only black and a black and white checker floor was under them. The floor appeared under their steps, and disappeared behind them. They had both been horrified as the demon, Claude Faustus to be specific, was inching towards them slowly. He was in his true, demonic form, after the boy's souls.

"D-don't worry Ciel, stay with me!" Alois held him close. They watched as the demon licked his lips and they took steps back. Alois grabbed Ciel's arm, pulling him.

"Run!" Alois and Ciel ran together, as fast as they could. The path appeared beneath their feet as they stepped, like it was never ending. They ran as fast as they could, getting nowhere. They had both cried and blood had littered their clothing and hands.

"What can we do Alois!?" Ciel whimpered out as he ran.

"Just stay close to me and run! Never lose me!" He grabbed his hand. However, Ciel's small fragile legs can not take this much running. He panted while he spoke. "Alois I can't-ha- run-ha- for much longer!" He panted hard and slowed down.

"No, Ciel please!"

"Alois..." He cried as he coughed, his chest burning. He fell to his knees.

"I can not run any longer!" He whimpered, his tears mixing with the blood smeared on his face.

"Ciel, come on! I can't lose you now!" He cried. "Not here...!" He sniffled and took Ciel in his arms.

"Alois we can't get away from this demon..." His voice trembled. "We just can't..."

They both looked around for the demon, finding that he was nowhere within the darkness surrounding them.

"Wh-what's going on...?"

"I don't know where he went but... He could come back, this is our chance to escape!" Alois claimed excitedly.

"No Alois... It's impossible... We are stuck in the gates of hell, in the middle of black... And we're both going to die here."

Alois gasped softly, tears flowed out of his eyes like a river.

"Perhaps... You're right..." He wiped his eyes and looked at Ciel. "But if we're going to die now, I need to tell you something..."

Ciel looked up at Alois with sad eyes. Alois forced a slight smile and pulled Ciel in for a kiss. Their first, and last kiss. Ciel kissed back, trying to savour his last moment of his life. He closed his eyes and wrapped his arms around Alois as the kiss deepened. Alois' tongue slipped into the boy's mouth, dancing it around weakly. Ciel blushed softly as his tongue was sucked on. Soon, had felt the passionate kiss weakening. Alois had stopped and Ciel opened his eyes. He pulled away and gasped as his eyes widened in fright, his heart beating fast. The demon was behind Alois, his lips covered in blood.

"C-Ciel..." Alois choked out. He coughed up blood. The wretched demon had stolen the poor boy's soul. Ciel grabbed onto Alois' hands tightly as tears streamed down his cheeks once again.

"Alois!" He yelled in horror as his screams echoed through the darkness. Alois' eyes lost their life, lost their color, and he fell to the floor.

"No...!" He put his hand over Alois', his tears dripping down. He gasped when he felt cold hands firmly placed on the sides of his head.

"N...N-no..." He whispered in fright. His heart pounded against his chest. Suddenly, his neck was twisted with loud crackling and blood dripping. The demon collected the delicious, irresistible soul craved by many.

"A-...Al-ois-..." He coughed and choked, falling down beside Alois. The checkered floor disappeared from under them, leaving the boy's bodies to the demon.
