Ash

Duo POV

I could clearly see

From my spot from behind the tree

Of the large gaping hole

In the freezing earth

Of a long deserted park

Now barren, dead and a rust in brown grass

The tree rotting and gray

No leaves existing

My feet numb at the frost bitten air and ground

A thin white layer over the floor

The stench drifted up lethargically

And I cringe at the smell

I watch in silent tears as the bodies pile

Someone pours the fluid

A match is lit

The flame becomes a great wildfire and black smoke ascends

Towards the heaven

The remains of corpses become to hell

My friend is now nothing but ash
