Hey everyone! I'm back. Sorry I haven't really been updating much in general and in the other story I have going right now, Our Memories, but school has started back again and I have been so sleep deprived lately! I'm going to try and update more, but please keep in mind that it's a lot happening right now with school and stuff. Right now though, I'm home for the weekend and I had some free time to write this, so enjoy!

To My Surprise
Chiron gets a special surprise while exploring around Camp Half-Blood.

Chiron was bored to death.
He sat in his special wheelchair playing a game of poker with Demeter when a booming sound was heard throughout the camp, shaking the protective shield around the camp. I stood at attention with Demeter following behind. A few campers ran up to us, weapon in hand and said, "Chiron, there is something at the field entrance, what is the plan?" Chiron thought about it for a moment, before saying to them, "I'll go with you to the entrance and check it out. It could be a false alarm. Let's go."
As quick as possible, Chiron got up, turning into his century like self and trotted away in the distance with the kids towards the entrance.
But what they saw there was completely unexpected.
A young boy, no older than 12, stood there with a familiar golden sword in his hand and a minotaur was lying there in front of him. The boy was panting and holding the sword in front of him toward the giant beast. Chiron looked from the minotaur to the boy. "What happened here?" he asked the boy.
This boy looked familiar.
He had familiar sandy blond hair that stuck up everywhere and familiar sea green eyes.
"I was told to come here and my parents said that you would meet me here, but when I showed up, this guy was here instead." the boy explained to us. He set the sword down on the ground but still held onto it with both his hands.
It took me a moment to figure it out, but he could never forget that sword or the person he gave it to you years ago.
"The sword," he muttered to the boy, staring down at it. Chiron then looked up to the boy, "Where did you get it from? Did you steal it." Even though this kid had no idea who we were or why we were standing here in our battle leathers and weapons, staring at him in shock. The boy didn't even seem to realize that Chiron was half horse. Maybe he was under the mist and couldn't see, but the sword and the minotaur didn't make sense and wouldn't explain it. Perhaps he was one of the mortals that could see through the mist as Rachel could.
"I didn't steal it. My father gave it to me." the boy explained to me. The question that was burning inside of all of them finally was asked.
"So who are your parents?"Chiron asked, taking a step forward. The boy seemed undisturbed by it, but then he started to laugh. "They didn't tell you. Of course, they would just dump me here and say look for Chiron, he'll know you. They sent you a letter as well to tell you about my arrival." the boy laughed. Chiron and the other campers still stood in surprise at this boy. "Who are your parents?" a girl from behind said. The boy sat up tall, sword still in hand, and stared at them and their confused faces. "You guys have seriously no idea who I am do you?" he gruffed.
They shook their heads.
The boy let out a sigh and said, "My name is Oliver, Oliver Jackson. Son of Percy Jackson and Annabeth Jackson, formally known as Annabeth Chase. You may have heard of them."
Then the thought hit Chiron like a bullet. Of course! He had Annabeth's block locks and it stuck up the way Percy's would. And the eyes. Percy's famous sea green eyes. How could he forget them?
"It really is you. Wow. I can't believe it, they had a child. And the sword. Wow." Chiron muttered. Oliver shrugged, "I thought you knew."
Chiron shook his head. "I knew about the baby, but I didn't know that you were the baby. Well, come on. You can stay in Percy's old cabin since you are a descendant of a descendant of Posidean. No one has been in that cabin since Percy." Chiron explained, leading the boy into the camp.
As they entered, a girl almost ran into Oliver. "Oh my gods, I am so sorry about that." she apologized before heading off in the direction of her cabin. This girl was around the same age as Oliver, with golden locks that flowed down her back like a waterfall and beautiful green eyes. She reminded Oliver a lot of his mother. Oliver looked up at Chiron with a weird look on his face. "Who was that?" he asked. Chiron looked down at him, "That was Eliza, daughter of someone, maybe Athena... I think. Why?" Oliver blushed and looked away. "No reason. It's just, she looks like a princess."
Chiron raced his eyebrows and chuckled.
"The Jackson men have a type I see. That's exactly what your father said when he saw Annabeth for the first time," he said.
Oliver blushed harder and looked over his shoulder to see Eliza staring back at him as well. Her eyes widened and she quickly turned away.
Secretly, Oliver wanted to run after her and talk with her, but he knew there would be time for that later. He had all summer.
"Yeah. Maybe we do."
Thank you for reading! Sorry, it was kind of short, but I still think it was good. I hope you enjoyed it, I really enjoyed writing it and I hope you liked reading it as well. DM me if you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions for a story and tell me your thoughts on it. Also, I was thinking of maybe making a part 2 or sequel kind of, or maybe adding on to this story some more, I'm going to mark it as complete though but I may change it, so let me know if it'd be a good idea. Thank you again!
