Ayumi was walking through Heavenly Host's hallways. She and Yoshiki split up to find Miss Yui and the others. While she was walking, she was only thinking of the way she and her friends ended up in this school. They were doing a "lucky" charm to stay friends forever because one of her classmates (and her secret crush) Mayu Suzumoto was transfering to another school. Ayumi loved everything about Mayu. Her short brown hair, her green eyes, her voice. She was simply beautiful to her. But her crush was hopeless. She and Mayu were close friends and Mayu told her that she loved Morishige. She didn't want to think that Mayu didn't love her back.
Suddenly she heard a voice coming from a room, interrupting her from her thoughts. She heard children's laughs and a voice really familiar to her. She runned inside the room and she saw her crush, Mayu, talking to some ghost children.
"Su-Su-Su-Suzumoto-san", said Ayumi and happily run to hug her.
She finally found the person she wanted to find the most in that forshaken school, her biggest crush. But as she went closer to hug her, a strange force pushed her back, causing her to fall behind.
"Ah, Shinozaki-san", said Mayu smiling "It's okay, she's a friend of mine", she said to the ghost children.
"Suzumoto-san, what are you doing?", said Ayumi in a panicked way "These children-"
"It's okay, Shinozaki-san", Mayu replied "They're nice".
And she gave Ayumi a piece of a newspaper. Ayumi read it.
"They're just tormented souls", said Mayu "And they're so lonely. I can't leave them here alone. That's why I'm going to stay here".
"You can't do that, Suzumoto-san", Ayumi replied "We have to find the others and get out of here. Think about your parents. They must be worried about you. And Morishige-kun must be worried about you too".
She didn't want to say that thing about Morishige but she had to find a way to convince Mayu to follow her.
"Shige-nii...", said Mayu in a silent thoughtful voice.
"Please, let Suzumoto-san go", she said to the ghost children.
Then a lot of things happened. The ghost children didn't just refuse to let Mayu go. They also pushed Ayumi farther behind and lifted Mayu in the air. Ayumi didn't see exactly what happened but she remembered hearing Mayu's screams.
As she exited the room, she saw a large amount of human insides on the wall and on the floor in front of her. And she recognized the person right away from her eyeballs that were now on the floor. It was Mayu.
"Su-Su-Suzumoto-san...", Ayumi said in panic "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO".
She fell on her knees and she started crying.
"I-I-I couldn't protect you, my love", she said in tears.
"Shinozaki", she heard a voice behind her.
She turned her head back and she saw Yoshiki coming to her.
"Ki-Ki-Kishinuma-kun"
"Are you alright? What happened?"
"Su-Su-Suzumoto-san..."
"Yes?"
"Th-Th-There was nothing, I could do to save her"
Yoshiki then noticed Mayu's insides on the wall and on the floor.
"DAMMIT!", he yelled and punched the wall next to him.
Ayumi stopped crying, stood up and said to Yoshiki:
"Did you find Yui-sensei or anyone else?"
"No", he replied.
"I think we should stay together", she said "Let's find Yui-sensei and the others".
"Okay", he replied.
And they walked away, leaving Mayu's remainings behind them.
~Goodbye Suzumoto-san. I wish I could do something to save you. I'll never forget you, my love~, she thought and she followed Yoshiki to search Miss Yui and the others around Heavenly Host.
