My favorite color is purple

It reminds me of your smile

And irises of your spirit

Which are like any other flower in the sunlight

But flourishes most in the rain

Bright, shining in the dark

Beautiful amethyst against pale skin

I have a picture of you with me always

Though I shall never forget

Your charming smile

And fey eyes following me as I leave once again into the starry night sky

A deep blush and a small caress

Followed by a passionate kiss

And the response "see ya later, soldier boy."

Is what holds me until I can see you again

That and your picture

Never look back, that's the rule

Bad karma, you said

And it's true

Never look back to what you're leaving behind

But I'm never sad

'Cause I know, as soon as I return
