This takes right after the ending scene of the episode Wrath, it's basically a short continuation of the scene. I wrote it pretty quickly and I would've made it longer but it just turned put this way…anyway I hope you like it!:)
"I just need to know that you love me…no matter what." Lana looked into Clark's crystal blue eyes. She saw love but… with all of the happenings of the past couple of weeks she also saw Clark's distrust of her. What have I done, thought Lana.
Clark simply stared at her; no words could describe what he was feeling at this moment. He gently raised his hand against her cheek and stroked it. This action caused tears to fall from her eyes…everything seemed like it was falling apart.
"Hey," whispered Clark, "Lana"-
Before Clark could utter another word, Lana silenced him. "No Clark I understand, your feelings for me have changed." Lana began to back away.
"No," stated Clark fiercely, "Nothing could ever change the way I feel about you, Lana I love you… that's never going to change."
Lana gazed into his eyes, "It took you awhile to say it." She closed her eyes as more tears spilled out, "Maybe it would've been better if I died after all."
Clark couldn't believe what he just heard. "No, please Lana don't ever say that." He rushed over to her and wrapped his arms around her waist, "I can't live without you."
Lana shook her head, "That's not true Clark and you know it…you have so much responsibility. You have the world to take care of…I…maybe its better if I get out of your life."
With every word that Lana spoke, Clark's heart broke more. He gently grabbed her face and kissed her nose, "You are my life Lana; the world can never take your place. I love you…more than anything…and nothing"- Clark gulped heavily, "or anyone will ever change the way I feel about you."
"Clark"- sobbed Lana, "I'm so sorry for keeping all of these secrets from you, for getting out of control, for becoming so obsessed with Lex."
He kissed her forehead, "its okay," Clark soothed, "We're going to get through this. I'm not giving up."
Lana lifted her head, "Everything has gotten so messed up…how?"
"I don't know but, we are going to sort everything out. Don't worry, we both kept secrets from each other but now we are finally being honest with each other."
Lana nodded as he eyes scanned the ground. "I love you," she whispered.
Clark blinked back tears, "I love you too…forever."
He placed his hand under her chin and lifted her lips to his. They kissed knowing that everything would be fine. Honesty finally surrounded their relationship.
