„So I woke up today and there he was. His beautiful cat eyes staring at me" Alec's voice echoes the silence as he looked down and smiled.„I leaned over to kiss him, but he already jumped out of bed and went to make some coffee. So I got up, got dressed and came to meet him in the kitchen. Room floor was covered in DVD boxes. One of them was empty as Gilligan's Island first season was still in DVD player."
Alec chuckled slightly and Isabelle looked up at him, not saying a word. Only sharing a warm smile with him. „I tried to take it out of the DVD player, but I couldn't. I just walked straight to the kitchen and sat by the table across Magnus. He told me that he loves me", Alec's voice broke slightly. He sighed softly.
It was cold outside. You sould see your breath in the air when you spoke. Isabelle tightened her grip on Alec's arm, as she slid her other hand in her pocket. „What did you tell him?" She asked and Alec's eyes found a way to look her directly in hers. „I told him I loved him. I told him I still want to marry him. He knew that already, but I needed to say it. I needed to tell him that now before it's too late", Alec said with a large amount of pain in his voice.
„I will continue telling that to him. Every morning and every evening. Until Angel takes me away from this Earth", Alec's eyes rose up to look in the sky. It was bright blue, without even one cloud.
„Soon, we will get married, adopt a baby boy and move to that big house at the end of the street just like we planned." His tone became more cheerful as he said that.
Isabelle rose her head. Her eyes full of sorrow. She finally opened her mouth to speak, but Alec cut her off. „Why didn't I tell him that all before? Why was I so stupid to hide it? I should have told him that I loved him years ago. He should have known that before..." Alec paused for a moment before he looked at Isabelle again.
„I love him Isabelle. I will always love him. „ Isabelle wraped her arm around Alec before she managed to speak, fighting her tears away.
„Alec... it has been 2 years now. You need to come home. We need you", she spoke as she loosened her grip and moved back a little. „He has been gone for three years now."
Those words hit Alec like a slap across the face. „And I never got to tell him that I love him", he said getting up from the bench. Walking tiny steps towards the stone on which was written in big letters Magnus Bane. You will never be forgotten. Not being able to fight back his tears anymore Alec finally fell down on his knees.
„I can't even get rid of that stupid Gilligan's island DVD because it was the last thing we watch together that night. I can't get myself to think straight. I can see you everywhere like an angel that you were. That you still are."
His tears were suffocating him. That was the first time Isabelle had seen his brother crying. She stood behind him, covering her mouth with the palms of her hands, not wanting him to see how painful it was to her to see her brother like this.
„Alec. We need to go", she spoke, barely able to calm her voice down from not breaking into half of the sentence and making her burst into tears. „No Izzy. You go home to your love. I will stay with mine. I promised him Until death do us part. And not even then." Saying that, Alec laid down under the cold stone and closed his eyes. Sitting down on the bench, Isabelle watched him. She knew nothing can take him away from Magnus. Not even death. Because their love knew no boundaries.
