He knew.
That his brother never actually meant what he said, whenever the other man taunted him. It would've never occured for him for the taunts to be true.
He knew.
That he would only ever be viewed as a brother. And if he tried to change it, he might not even be seen as that much.
He knew.
The only place he could taste those lips was in his dreams. In reality he would be forced away, disgust evident on the others face.
And he knew, he knew all this, and now that he had missed his chance.
Jack knew it was too late.
