Strands of Destiny
The beating came too fast for Tyler. His head dragged back and banged ruggedly
against the bookshelf. An almost unbearable pain displeased in his brain, and
he thought it must be bleeding. In this moment his dad grabbed him by the
scruff of his neck and moved him up so that Tyler was on the same eye level.
"I'm not tolerating another breach, understood?" Tyler nodded. "Yes, Sir." Mr.
Lockwood blew snidely and let his son go. "And now back off." The boy looked
in his father's eyes and the only thing he saw was coldness.
Tyler closed the door behind him and leaned against the cold oak wood. His
whole body trembled but he wasn't sure if it was anger or shame. He swore to
himself again, that this was the last time his dad will do something like that
to him, but in his heart he knows exactly it would happen again. He sighed and
palpated his back head. Damn, his Fingers were full of blood and now he
realized the headache that dispread in his head. He had to go. More staggered
than anything else, he went downstairs, griped his car keys and left the
Manor. Everything rotated around him, but he told himself to just grin and
bear it.
Tyler drove around no clue where he could go and what he should do now. The
mood of his dad was really bad the last time, but there were no reasons that
it would be better sometimes. The wound hurts and he needed something to
drink. Should he truly go to him? The other boy had enough problems by himself
but he couldn't manage it alone. Tyler pulled himself together and changed the
road.
A few minutes later he arrived at the house and turned off the engine. He took
a deep breath. That wasn't right, he had to go. His fingers touched the keys
again... "Hey…" Someone knocked on the car window and Tyler stopped. "Man,
what are you doing here?" Matt asked, sounding surprised and a little worried.
Tyler sighed. So much for going away. Tyler pulled out the car key and got out
of the car. "Just wanna see my boyfriend." Tyler closed in the distance
between them and kissed Matt deeply. The other boy smiled against his lips.
"That's how the land lies!" The blond boy laid his arms around Tyler's
shoulders. "You missed practice today. Something happened?" Tyler avoided the
view of his friend. Matt decided to wait until they are in his room. Together
they crossed the sill and went upstairs.
Matt closed the door behind them and leaned against it. "What did your dad do
to you?" he asked and tried to look in Tyler's beautiful eyes. But the younger
boy looked away. "Nothing. Everything is fine." Matt growled, "Don't lie to me
Tyler." The harsh tone let the other boy jerk. **. Matt pushed up from the
door and got next to his boyfriend. "I'm sor…" In this moment he could see
the wound on Tyler's head and the bruise on his face. Damn it. He pulled the
other boy in his arms and placed a few soft kisses on his neck. "Stay with me
tonight, okay? I will make it better. Swear it." "I shouldn't have come."
Tyler leaned against his boyfriend. His eyes were full of tears, but he tried
to control it. He is a Lockwood not a girl.
