Master Chief stood in the lift as is rose upwards. When it reached the top, he turned towards the door and walked out into the giant room. It consisted of a single narrow path, with pillars on either side. As he walked, Master Chief examined the pillars to see if they were a threat. They seemed harmless, so he kept walking. At the end of the path there was some complicated looking machinery. Master Chief inserted Cortana and stepped back. The machinery slowly began to rise and do complicated looking things.

"According the the Cathedral," Cortana said "This terminus is just one node of a larger transit grid that spans the entire planet…".

"What?" Master Chief asked.

"When I tried to access the outlet closest to the Infinity's transmissions, the system responded with this." Cortana said, pulling up a complicated looking symbol.

"What is it?" Master Chief asked.

"That's the kicker." Cortana replied "It's the Forerunner symbol for 'Reclaimer'.".

"Humanity." Master Chief stated "That's got to be Infinity. Can you get us to these coordinates?" he asked.

"Let me try to open a portal." Cortana said, messing with the complicated looking symbols.

Suddenly, Master Chief heard a noise and turned around. The pillars had all begun to rise. "Cortana." he said.

"I'm picking up unknown energy signatures." Cortana stated.

"Where?" Master Chief asked.

"This can't be right." Cortana said, ignoring the Chief. Strange looking aliens began to appear on the rising pillars, growling at the pair.

"Set a waypoint out of the tower." Master chief ordered, slowly backing up. "Cortana." he said. A portal opened up in front of him.

Cortana turned around and said "How did… Quick! Into the portal." Master chief turned back around and grabbed Cortana as the aliens became more and more angry. As Master Chief aimed at one, it demonstrated it's ability to teleport. "Chef. GO!" Cortana said, spurring the Chief to run and jump into the portal.

Master Chief came out on the edge of a forest, as the portal dissipated behind him he asked "What were those things?"

"Wait a minute, this isn't where we are supposed to be…" Cortana said.

"Well then where are we?" the Chief asked.

"I don't don't know, but definitely we aren't on the same planet as before." Cortana answered. "I'm detecting civilization nearby. C'mon, let's figure out where that transit system dumped us.".

Master Chief began to jog towards his new waypoint. After a few minutes they had arrived. He was on the outskirts of a small village, populated by what seemed to be ponies. As master Chief stood there, one of the ponies saw him and shouted in surprise. All the ponies immediately started staring as him. Suddenly, a pause screen came up. The player set down the control, stood up, and said to himself "What did I just witness…"

Afterlife is still on track, mostly, and I just wanted to put this out there. I've had this idea on my mind or a while now. For the first part,I literally turned on Halo 4, played through the entire last half of the Requiem mission, and then transcribed everything that happened.

Also, updates are going to be delayed because I have large essays every other week now. It sucks.
