Mercenary and Zero, both had been traveling to find the traces of magic that could have gone out of Wenias. They have not found any, but hopefully, they will find some, soon.Their adventure wasn't really eventful. Boring days were becoming normal.

They were sitting in front of the bonfire. Zero scooted into her employee's lap for the warmth. Temperature at night was so cruel to her, blame it.

"What'cha doin'?" Asked Mercenary.

"This weather is cold even if we have fire" Zero replied as she moved into a comfortable position.

"You could've just use yer magic" Mercenary rolled his eyes. "You know? Make yourself warm"

"Why wasting magic when I already have your fluff?" She said before snuggling into his fur covered abdomen. "It's so warm~~ and fluffy!!!"

"I'm not a blanket!" Mercenary said, trying to push her away. But the effort was useless.

"But it's cold!"

"I'll find you a blanket when we arrive at some towns" Mercenary said before letting her lean against him.

The cold night and dark sky full of stars, this had the little witch impressed. She had only seen the sky through that little hole in her cave, seeing how beautiful it really was, she felt lucky that she decided to leave.

She yawned before laying her head on the beastfallen's fur and let her eyes close, accepting the sleep to take over her.

Mercenary was a bit annoyed that his employer would not stop asking him if how kissing feels like. How did she come up with this random thing?

"Don't really know." He had answered her question "Never done that"

"Then let's find that out together!" Zero said before leaning her face up.

"No" He replied shortly. "I don't love you, so why would I kiss you?"

"Come on! Do you not want to be my first kiss?"

Mercenary scowled "You really just said that?" He exclaimed.

"Yes I did!" Zero said.

"You want to kiss a beast's lips?" Mercenary asked.

"Not a problem" Zero replied.

Mercenary thought for some times before asking her "Will you shut up if I do it?" But actually, he wasn't going to do it anyway.

"No promises" She said.

"Just asking, I will never do it" He said and walked a bit faster.

"Come on Yoheī. Do you not really want to be my first kiss?" She said with seductive tone.

"I can't believe ya just said that... Why are you so interested in this?" Mercenary asked "There are many things in this world, little witch. You could care only a little about love"

Mercenary coughed "Beside... I'm a beastfallen, I doubt you will find that the feel of my lips is pleasant to you"

"But-"

"Also, you know that I hate witch. I will never kiss you because I don't love you. Keep yourself pure, little witch. Find a man to love. With your beauty, it won't be hard" Mercenary said.

"The world is full of liars. And you know it" Zero retorted. "And I don't really like having many relationships. I would rather have only one long life lover"

"The time will come" Mercenary said.

That left the witch with some thoughts as he said that. They both continued traveling with silence and awkward feelings.
