Seras sat on a swing, laughing happily as her father pushed her higher. He was laughing too.
Her mother wasn't too far away. She was sitting under a tree, smiling and watching her husband play with their daughter. It wasn't everyday Abel had a day off being a policeman and all.
Such times for bonding were rare.
Esther's smile grew even wider as Abel carried their hyper active daughter over. The little girl was giggling away madly, struggling playfully within her father's grasp.
Abel set Seras down. It wouldn't do him good if she broke his jaw while playing. That would be utterly embarrassing. Imagine a policeman getting his jaw broken by a playful girl!
Then again, young as she may seem (and is), his little girl was still a black belt. And she was proud of it too!
Seras squealed, running over to her mother and taking the kidney pie. Oh yes! A delicacy better than chocolate and lollipops. Presenting, the KIDNEY PIE.
"Beware, a little yellow haired monster is here to steal and eat all the food we have!" Abel chuckled to Esther.
Seras paused, and glared at her father.
The policeman laughed and put his hands up, as though he were surrendering. "Alright, alright! I was just joking!"
Seras hrumped and returned to devouring her kidney pie.
Before long, she was dashing back to play.
XXXXXXX
"Police girl, wake up!" Seras's eyes snapped open. Light flooded her vision and it was a minute before she could see anything.
The draculina sat up, a little confused. She absently noticed her master and Walter looking concernedly at her.
"Miss Victoria, are you fine? I couldn't get you to wake up so…" Walter trailed off. "Did you have a nightmare?"
The corners of the young vampire's mouth curved up. "Nightmare? No, Walter. I just had a wonderful dream."
