Harry Potter and the Twist of Fate
Disclaimer. I do not own Harry Potter, or any of the other characters or places you may recognise. I will not be receiving any monetary funding for this project, and all credit for coming up with the original idea lies with my Idol, and favourite author of all time, J.K. Rowling. This story was first released in 2009 on my old Page, Shenguin. However I can no longer access that account due to Email issues, but will get this story, and my others eventually back up to where they were and beyond!
CHAPTER ONE
The Decision
Harry James Potter sat bolt upright in his bed in Gryffindor tower. He was surrounded by his friends, and their families, but that wasn't what was on his mind at the moment. He had had a very disturbing dream about Tom Riddle, and his minions. Although the war was over, and the death eaters were being rounded up, Harry could still feel their presence, and still suffered the nightmares that could only come from being a survivor of a war of casualties.
Screwing up his eyes in concentration, he tried to remember exactly what Tom had said in his dream. He had mentioned something about the battle, Reviving people who had been lost, Doing it all again, he had even told Harry an incantation to go back in time, although Harry didn't quite believe anything that Tom told him. Still, better to be safe than sorry. He decided that he needed to talk with someone who he knew would be able to help him. Wordlessly summoning his invisibility cloak, he descended the staircase, and exited the common-room via a portrait hidden secret entrance in the wall. He tread carefully, and quietly through the castle, until he got to the griffin staircase. He muttered the password, and climbed, until he got to the door of the Headmasters Study.
Pushing open the door, his eyes fell on the portrait he wished to speak to. That of the previous headmaster, Albus Dumbledore. "Ah, Harry my boy, to what do I owe this very late pleasure?" Dumbledore beamed.
"Erm, Well sir, I had another dream about Voldemort, and I need your help with part of it." Harry paused for a second, and, as Dumbledore nodded encouragingly, he continued. "He mentioned a spell, which could 'redo the war, and revive those who had died needlessly'. What did he mean?"
Dumbledore sight, he had been afraid of this. "Sit down Harry, it's time I tell you something very important, something I should have told you when you came to see me after the battle of Hogwarts ended."
Harry groaned, nothing good ever came after those words. Nothing what-so-ever.
"You see Harry, The Elder Wand had a special ability, that precious few knew about. This ability had the power to send an individual back in time, to any chosen point in the time-line, as long as the user was alive at that time. Said user, could use the ability to head back to their own time again, however meddling too much in the past could change the future to the point that they may cease to exist!" Dumbledore paused for Effect. "The Spell for this is Vicis Transfero, and you could theoretically use this spell to return to the past, and save lives, but you know the dangers of time travel Harry, they are not to be taken lightly, so it will be your decision!"
