Finding Love In The Weirdest Ways
Ever since the loss of Willow, Faith has been having a little trouble being a friend to Buffy and Xander. All she cares about is finding them vampires and killing them in the most painful of ways. Xander and Buffy haven't been dealing well with the loss of their best friend, but they just wanted to be there for Faith.
Xander told Buffy about Faith's feelings towards Willow, so Buffy has been keeping an eye out on Faith. When Buffy goes slaying, Faith goes with her to watch over her because of Faith's promise. Buffy was walking through the graveyard when she saw Faith. Faith was sitting in the grass leaning up against a gravestone. Buffy slowly approched, knowing that Faith could hear her. "Hey, what are you doing out here alone?" Buffy asked softly.
"This is just the place I like to think." Faith answered calmly.
Buffy sat next to her and grabbed her hand, "This is where she died, isn't it?"
Faith nodded, "Yeah, I guess I come here hoping Willow would show up and tell me that it wasn't my fault for not being fast enough."
Buffy layed her head on Faith's sholder, "She doesn't blame you. It was time for her to pass on and theres nothing we could do to change that. No matter how fast you are, or how brave you are, you can't fight destiny."
Faith knew Buffy was right deep down, but her heart still screamed it was her fault that Willow doesn't get to see her family and friends again. Faith smiled warmly at Buffy then asked, "Do you still think about her?"
Buffy nodded, "Yes, but I know that the more I think about her, the more the pain will grow. Willow loved us all very much. She gave up her life to make sure that you got out of there alive."
Xander walked over there and sat on the other side of Faith. "Don't let your anger get the best of you. Please don't let our best friends death be in vain by shutting out everyone and hunting them until they kill you. Play it safe and maybe oneday we will kill them and still live to help others like Willow."
Faith nodded then hugged them, "You guys are right. Willow will live on in are memories and in are hearts. I'm sorry for shutting you guys out when I know you guys are in pain too."
Faith knew that Willow was smiling down at her and was telling her to be brave. At that moment Faith knew that love can come in diffrent ways and that she did find love again. The love she has for her friends and the good people on this earth. "Thank you guys for helping me realize that you can find love in the weirdest ways. Even if it's the love for your family and friends."
