Puzzles

A/N: My response for CBPC for February.

Summary: Feb CBPC response. Zack reflects on himself, puzzles, and…why should I tell you what or who else? An unusual pairing, but I was in the mood.

Disclaimer: I don't own any of the Bones characters.

It isn't logical. It simply isn't logical. I enjoy puzzles, but this puzzle I just don't understand.

Puzzles. There are so many of them. Word puzzles, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, riddles and other mind puzzles, logic puzzles, and I like them all. I like working with Dr. Brennan, Dr. Hodgins, Angela, Agent Booth, and Dr. Saroyan to solve the puzzle of a person. We're a team and we work together. Dr. Brennan doesn't approve of over-lapping relationships, but Dr. Hodgins and Angela have one. Angela says that Dr. Brennan and Agent Booth are 'made for each other', but anthropologically that's not possible. They do have a great deal of sexual tension, but they just don't see it. Even Dr. Saroyan, who loves Agent Booth herself, can see it. It's all one giant puzzle.

Dr. Saroyan. Now there is an interesting topic. Before I got my doctorate, Dr. Brennan went on a holiday, to clear her brain I guess. While she was on her holiday, Dr. Goodman hired Dr. Saroyan and put her as Head of Forensics. This made her Dr. Brennan's boss. Dr. Brennan wasn't too happy about the New Yorker coming in above her head, but she deals with it. She understands that Dr. Saroyan is her boss. Dr. Hodgins and I almost got fired once, because we got authorization for an experiment from Dr. Brennan, our boss, but not Dr. Saroyan, our superior. Agent Booth and Dr. Saroyan have a history together. They re-ignited that history and started sleeping together. I accidentally saw them kiss once. It was embarrassing for me, but they never found out. But, after the incident with Howard Epps and the poison, they agreed that they shouldn't be together.

That didn't stop me though. Through all this, from Dr. Saroyan first entering the Jeffersonian to our third and final case with Howard Epps, I was there. I was in the background, waiting to be called on. My brief shining moment was getting my doctorate and being officially hired by Dr. Saroyan. Cam, as she likes to be called. I was just waiting in the background, yet full of desire. Desire to be seen and desire to be heard. Also, the desire for a pathologist, who works as part of the team. She's one of us. Yes, I know it's illogical. It's one mind puzzle that my genius mind in the ionosphere just can't handle. My heart is full of desire for Dr. Camille Saroyan.

A/N: There you go. The second time I have entered the challenge (I'm doing well).
