As he arrived at the Trancy Manor, Earl Ciel Phantomhive's life was changed... and so was his view of a certain Trancy. Ciel had given Sebastian leave to relax for an evening, assuring himself he could go alone. As Ciel walked in, Alois popped up in front of him.

"Hello Ciel, are you enjoying my wondrous party yet?" He glomped Ciel. He frowned, pushing the Trancy boy away.

"I'd enjoy it more if it wasn't YOUR party."

Alois took no offense to his crude statement, as he simply smiled and went to go greet the other guests. There was a girl creeping by quietly and she accidentally bumped into Ciel, then jumped a bit.

"O-Oh, I'm Terribly sorry sir..." she looked at Ciel.

He recognized those blue eyes, the eyes of a Trancy. He looked around and saw Alois talking with some guests and thought to himself.

That can't be right... the Trancy boy is over there...

Ciel frowned, deep in his own thoughts as the girl had watched him, lightly poking his shoulder.

"Sir...?" She asked with a slightly concerned tone in her voice.

Ciel looked back to the girl, sighing a bit frustrated.

"What do you need...?" he questioned her, looking a tad annoyed now. "Are you a Trancy or something?"

The girl nodded, a small smile appearing on her lips. "Alice Zerithia Merii Trancy at your service." she bowed and giggled.

"I'd rather not talk to anyone of that family..." Ciel frowned.

"Well I'm sorry I happen to be from the family you speak of, I cannot help it..." She smiled fakely.

Though I Wish I Could Help It... Alice thought sadly.

Ciel saw her distraught and decided not to tamper with her feelings... yet. He smirked slightly then decided to go with it.

"Oh! I forgot to introduce myself… I am Earl Ciel Phantomhive. Call me whatever you please. Oh, and sometimes I wish I had a different family as well…" he trailed off, hoping to catch her interest.

"Why ever not?" her voice had a sweetnesss to it, having Ciel pause for a moment. Alice's question hung in the air before Ciel came back to his senses.

"Hm? Oh. Because sometimes I do have my regrets…" he sighed.

Alice decided to take this personally.

"Can't you tell me…?" she inquired.

Ciel began to get a headache from the festivities all at once. He brought a hand to his forehead then sighed, sitting down in a chair nearby.

Alice followed hiim and stood nearby.

"Are you alright….?" she looked over to him. He got up and shook his head.

I must be going insane or something… But this "Alice" girl actually seems to care about me. If only she knew of my contract and doomed soul, I bet she'd look at me with those same lustful eyes as those demons who wish to pray upon me like so...

Alice brought over a small glass of water.

"Would you like any water? Or how can I help y-" she cut off, watching Ciel stammer back and fall into the chair once again.

What's happening… I cannot breathe… This room, it's suffocating… MY INHALER! He looked up, his eyes drooping.

Alice tilted her head confused.

"Lord Phantomhive, are you alright…" she asked, very unsure of what to do.

Ciel's eyes closed shut, and he stopped breathing. He could still hear, only faintly the voices fading away.

"S-Someone help…! Lord Phantomhive has…"

He could not know what everyone else said, because after that, he completely lost consciousness.
