Setsuna stood in front of the Time Gate looking at an image of Crystal Tokyo. She wished it did not have to be this way, only ten percent of humanity surviving the great freeze. Just as she was about to turn away a ripple passed through everything and the image in the gates rippled as it changed. As she stared in shock at the new image the gates were showing of a vibrant futuristic city of millions, but no crystal palace, she heard a voice behind her that she had not heard since she was made Senshi Pluto.
"It's amazing what a little free will can do, isn't it, daughter?"
Setsuna rapidly turned around, and stared at the figure in front of her "Chronos," she gasped "I thought the gods could not interfere in the mortal realm any more."
"That is true," He replied, "we cannot interfere directly, however if asked and invited we can have Avatars and Champions, and if those avatars are powerful enough in their own right amazing things can happen. For example if say the Princess sincerely prayed to the Gods for the strength to save the billions who would die in the great freeze. It would be possible for Kami-sama to answer, and give her the power she needed. As it stands all of the senshi are currently meeting the God or Goddess responsible for their Mantle. This is all possible because you missed a small yet very important detail at the end of the fight with Galaxia. The remnant of the Princess' past self did not fade away, she slowly merged with her current self. If you want to see the Capitol in this future look to the fifth orbit from the sun. It is called Avalon in this future."
Setsuna turned back to the gates and shifted their view gasping as she saw the impossible the asteroid belt was gone and there was a tenth planet orbiting the sun, the huge asteroid that would have caused the great freeze orbiting it as a moon.

this is just a story idea I've had floating around in my head for a while now. As I know I'll never finish it here are the basics for this universe.
As stated above, Usagi had her past personality and memories slowly merge with her after Galaxia. This made her more mature and in those few years between Galaxia and the great freeze she studied government and the basics of orbital mechanics(how planets move and interact in a solar system) this last because she had a crazy idea sparked by some sci-fi show she had seen a few minutes of. If the asteroid belt was reformed into a planet at just the right position and time to catch the asteroid that would cause the great freeze. thus the prayer which made her an Avatar.
In my mind I see the Senshi all becoming different gods avatars and using that power and the power of their patrons to implement Usagi's crazy idea without tearing the solar system apart.
Personally I think this idea has great potential I just don't have the time or creativity to develop it. Sorry.
