Black Hole

It grew larger and larger each day
While I sat wasting away.
It became darker and darker each day
While my mind faded gray.

Like a whirlpool it swirled in my heart,
Breaking, breaking it apart.

It ached, it raged, it boiled over.
'Till nothing was left but a broken four-leaf clover.
It cried, it wailed, it spilled over.
Scorching me inside, a burning fire ember.

Daylight, twilight, firelight.
Laying awake at night.

It consumes your soul,
It is a dark, dark hole.
It consumed my soul,
It is a black, black hole.
