Author's Note: One-shot, drabble, call it what you like, but plainly...it's a shorty. Anyways, if you've ever seen the "Voyage of the Dawn Treader" 2010 movie you know the extremely short scene where Caspian talks to Edmund about how he hopes to find his father in Aslan's Country. I thought I'd elaborate on this topic a bit. I know it's short, but I just wanted to convey the topic as simply as possible. I may be writing some more like this in the future if time allows and I'm not busy writing the other fifty stories I'm working on right now. haha. Anyways, read, review, and enjoy! :)

Disclaimer: I did not create the Chronicles of Narnia or the characters. And by the way, sometimes I forget disclaimers on my stories and if you see that I do, just know that I meant to have one there and just didn't remember. Thanks.

"These constellations are nothing like the ones back in Narnia." Caspian sighed and leaned back on a boulder.

"Well…we're not in Narnia anymore, that's for sure." Edmund replied and glanced quickly over at his friend.

The sky was a midnight blue filled with bright stars of all shapes and sizes. The only sound was the crackling of the bright fire that cast warm shadows across the sand and the cool waves crashing against the shore.

Everyone else was asleep now except for the two kings. They had decided it was best to spend the night on the island. Everyone was sick of being on the ship for so long. It had been a very long day of hard travel. The sun was very hot here and there hadn't been land in a few weeks. Taking the opportunity had been a good idea, giving everyone the chance to rest a bit.

The island was small. With a white, sandy beach strewn with large boulders of all shapes and a lush green forest beyond. Drinian, Caspian, and Edmund had all consulted earlier that it would be the best choice to explore the forest the next morning.

"I used to dream about it…" Caspian whispered suddenly.

Edmund looked over at him expectantly, waiting for him to continue.

"About sailing to the end of the world…and finding my father there."

There was a few moments of silence.

"Maybe you will." Edmund replied.

There was a pause. Both kings lie watching the stars.

"Do you really think we can sail to the end of the world…I mean, can we get to Aslan's Country?"

"I…I don't know, but with whatever happens Aslan is always watching over us. We don't have to worry about it. He'll guide us."

Caspian nodded, seeming satisfied with Edmund's response. He was going to thank him for his reassurance, but when he looked over Edmund was already fast asleep.

Caspian smiled. Edmund was a fine king indeed, and with that he drifted off to sleep himself… sure that he could handle whatever was to come with help from the Great Lion.
