"Close your eyes, You'll understand" Said kairi firmly.
Sora nodded. He was confused, how could this man be Riku? Before him was the man that took his best friend from him and tried to destroy the worlds. How could he be his long lost love? He slowly closed his eyes and as usual, saw nothing but darkness. He was about to open his eyes and tell kairi she was crazy when he looked up. His breath hitched. There standing before him was a boy with long, pure, silver hair. He was slightly taller than Sora, only by a few inches. He was wearing the same cloak as the organization Sora was so close to defeating. His piercing green eyes were hidden behind a blindfold.
"R-Riku…" Sora said breathlessly. Riku took a hesitant step forward.
"Yeah…" Riku whispered. Sora felt tears in his eyes. He stepped forward but Riku stepped back. "Sora…I'm glad…" He whispered, Sora could barely hear his voice. "I worked so hard….I'm glad you're okay…" Riku smiled slightly.
"Riku, what happened to you…" Sora whispered, in fear of breaking the silence in their minds.
Riku shuddered. "I needed the darkness to save you, and to help stop the organization…I..I couldn't do it on my own."
Sora ran forward and hugged Riku, "You don't HAVE to do anything on your own! If you had let me help you…you-you always ran away from me!" Sora cried into Riku's shoulder, "You were away for so long! I-I missed you!" He choked back a sob, "I kept dreaming you'd be here with me…every night…"
Riku held Sora and sighed, "I'm sorry…" he bit his lip trying to think of what to say, "I-I've been far away for far too long…" he turned his head from Sora, "I missed you…I…love you." his breath hitched "You don't have to mean it…I-I just need to hear you say…please." He buried his head into Sora's shoulder. "Please.."
Sora smiled slightly, "Stupid…I love you, I have all along! And I forgive you for being away!" He pulled away from Riku, "I just want you by my side from now on…" Sora looked at the floor, "Can…can I see your eyes?"
Riku smiled, "Yeah." He took off the blind fold. Sora's breath hitched. He was met with piercing light green eyes. Riku intertwined his fingers with Sora's, "And you can stop dreaming, I'm not leaving you anymore" He bit his lip again, "S-Sora?"
"Yeah?"
Riku looked at him with eyes brimmed with tears, "Hold onto me and never let me go."
Sora smiled and tenderly kissed his lips. "Yeah…" When Sora opened his eyes he didn't see the man that almost killed the worlds, he saw his first love smiling down at him.
