That's how it all starts, the fire, the rage that turns good men cruel.
All of us have a dark side. No matter how good or proper we think ourselves there are always buttons that if pushed can make us dangerous. The Doctor is no different.
The Doctor that legendary Time Lord who has fought gods and demons, the man who's saved so many lives has always had a dark side and it has slipped out before but never like this.
The Doctor stands in the ruins of a crashed ship on a planet deserted his red velvety coat swaying in the wind, his massive wild hair a complete mess, the flames of the crashed ship burn around him and illuminates the fire in his eyes, the fury of the Time Lord. This face of his constantly frowned and got angry but never like this.
The anger burns through him as he walks along the debris with a satisfied look at the damage making sure all equipment was destroyed and making sure there were no survivors. As he walks he passes dead bodies. Some dead from the impact of the crash, the others dead from The Doctors own hands. Brutal kills he had inflicted on them: Broken bones, crushed limbs any severe damage he could inflict on them. This ship hadn't been bought down by an enemy that the Doctor couldn't stop, this ship was bought down by The Doctor himself.
As he walked he notices a man alive and he was no threat and badly injured he was probably close to death anyway. The Doctor notices and walks to him.
As the man notices he desperately tries to crawl away but The Doctor stamps on his injured leg to stop him. The man screams out in pain.
"p..please don't, please let me live" the man pleads. The Doctor glares down at him hatred in his eyes as he crouches by the man and whispers.
"You beg for mercy well then I'll be merciful and make this quick" With one move The Doctor breaks his neck and the man dies instantly and The Doctor moves on examining the dead whenever he found a dead body he nodded in satisfaction.
The Doctor had no regrets killing these people. Of course he'd killed before but this was different. This act was not done in self-defence, not done to save a planet. This kill was out of hatred and as it was happening The Doctor realised something, he enjoyed it. He had enjoyed the satisfaction killing these people.
Of course a man travelling as long as him and a man who'd seen as much as him could simply one day snap, it's happened to people who have seen much less than him but no this wasn't the case.
So what happened? What happened to The Doctor? What could he have possibly have seen to make him break his centuries old promise and go against everything he stood for and become this col blooded killer?
Let's find out.
