Deep Within
Somewhere deep within her there was a girl who could say what she was feeling right out loud. Just screamed it at the top of her lungs for the world to hear.
A girl who would have spoke up for herself in front of a girl who was supposed to be her friend. A girl who would have told someone, anyone.
A girl who would have told Owen the first chance he gave her—because he would have understood.
A girl who could be honest to herself and everyone else around her.
But that girl had been cast aside a long time ago and the journey to bring her home was a long and complicated one. One she couldn't make on pure volition. She would first have to learn to let others in, let others help. Something she was naturally educated against.
