Before I tell you, you probably cannot guess that this story is from Nils' POV. This story is actually about Nils' view of life--a long, yet beautiful song. It is my shortest non-poem fanfic to date. And it is kind of poem-styled too. Enjoy. Like a song
My life is like a song. It starts as just a simple tune, every note with meaning and clarity, a fresh tune with no tales to tell, but of the high mountains, and of the snow I saw at birth, a tune played by a single flute's crystal notes.
Slowly, the tune is joined in harmony by oher tunes, to form a beautiful tapestry, the tapestry of my life. It is then that the real story starts, the point when I truly begin to live.
My life is like a song. Sometimes, it tells of roaring, raging rivers. Sometimes, it sings of soaring, spreading skies. And many times, the tune goes dark and silent, almost empty of warmth. But never once is it alone. Often, only a single melody accompanies it—a tune parallel to my own. Sometimes, it is a whole orchestra of song and life, of strength and joy.
The song rises and dips, its many moods echoed in the chords and melodies, every single note telling its own story. But all the time, at the core of the symphony, lies a single tune, an unshakeable tune, never wavering—the simple tune at the start of my life, the tune around which all my life's music was formed.
My life is like a song, and like all songs, it must end. So it goes, this symphony, whose notes I write every moment, asleep or awake, as I patiently await the moment where the closing chords sound the end, and my simple flute tune fades away into nothing.
Was it confusing? Enough description?
