I Wouldn't Change a Thing
Summary: Nate and Dana sit in their separate cabins one night and think about each other. Natana. One-shot
I Wouldn't Change a Thing
Nate lay on his bed in his cabin, with only a lamp on so as not to wake the Junior Rockers he was in charge of. He was holding something up to the light. It was a sterling silver bracelet with a silver dog-tag type thing on the end. On the dog-tag type thing, one word was engraved in beautiful cursive: Dana. He smiled softly to himself. Even though it had hit him in the eye, it had also led him to the beautiful and forbidden Dana. His very own Juliet. Except neither of them were dead. He smiled and held the bracelet close to his heart for a fraction of a second before undoing the clasp and putting it on his wrist. He couldn't wait to see Dana tomorrow…
Meanwhile, across the lake, in a way more luxurious cabin (although it was more like a house), sixteen year old Dana Turner lay on her bed, iPod in her ears. It was way past lights out for Camp Star, but no one ever came to check if she was still awake. They all thought she was too much of a goody-goody to stay up past curfew. She was looking at a sheet of paper. On this paper was lots of writing; title "Things Nobody Knows about Me" by "Nate Grey". She was silently giggling at some of things he had written on there. Then she rolled up the sleeve of her silk nightgown, the list still in her hand, and looked at the name written on her wrist totally accidentally in permanent marker: Nate. How could she have been so careless? When she didn't wear long sleeves, she risked her campmates, or worse: her father: seeing it. But she didn't care. Smiling, she folded up the list and rolled her sleeve down before putting the list under her pillow. Tomorrow, even though she would be up to her neck in rehearsals, she'd get to see Nate. In her eyes, getting to see him at the end of the day made it all worth it.
Even though both of them had unfortunate incidents with each other, they couldn't help but be happy with the way thing has turned out. Neither of them would change a thing.
AN: Alright, so be honest: How was it? This was my first CR2 fanfic. I really like how it turned out. I'm going to be putting up a Luke/Tess fic pretty soon, so be on the lookout for that.
